Good luck, The swans and ducks seem a lot more active than the fish at the moment, I still think they are chasing warmth.

Gardner ATTS 6 magnet roller wheels?
elmoputney replied to elmoputney's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Yeah it seems very safe, worst case scenario, you leave a rig in a fishes mouth, I was impressed when I saw it. -
I once taught the owner of that golf club how to hit a ball 😂 they had an open day and I went with the in laws, had 3 pints in the bar then we all went to the driving range, I was hitting the balls miles with a driving iron (that I chose because I had never used one) and the owner and the bro in law couldn't get close 😂 I was on fire that day, couldn't beat the satisfaction level from that day, so have never played anything other than crazy golf since 😂 I am not claiming I was good BTW, I wasn't but he was terrible 👍

Gardner ATTS 6 magnet roller wheels?
elmoputney replied to elmoputney's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
With 2 magnet rollers? I do much prefer the 4 mags tbh, 6 would be overkill for normal fishing I think. But might be useful if max sensitivity is required, I think it's too easy to just write a single bleep off as an anomaly, whereas 2 bleeps would make you notice, When I was at the Essex show I got shown the PB Products hit n run lead clips, I haven't tried them yet but they kind of act like a running rig, the fish can't use the weight of the lead to discharge the hook, quite different and I am an easy sale so naturally I bought some 😅 -
Gardner ATTS 6 magnet roller wheels?
elmoputney replied to elmoputney's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
As alarms I love them tbh simple and great, not sure how much they will change the sensitivity as the 4 mag roller is every 0.5cm and 6 is 0.33cm so essentially the 6 mag roller is 17mm more sensitive. I think a lot of it is me adjusting to check out every single bleep when zig fishing as in hindsight I feel I may have missed a few chances. I also had my rod tips underwater which won't help me see what's going on, learning all the time thanks OldBoy -
OK cool let us know what you find out, I have an in law up that way, might be a way of getting an extra fishing trip in 😂

I have used the 2 and 4 (always use now) has anyone used the 6 magnet roller wheels, I had a couple of single bleeps on my zig rods that I am starting to think may have been bites in hindsight as I was fishing bow string tight tines, was thinking 6 might be better for zig fishing can anyone tell me if they noticed much difference between 4 and 6 please?

Great to get them into fishing, my daughter was with me when I caught this one, fortunately it didn't provoke a strong desire to catch one herself 😂 but it's good to get them into it and outdoors so if that's what it takes, good luck.

Hi mate welcome to the forum, there is a website on Google, nick has linked it, might be worth going to have a look if you are not too far away, sometimes websites stay open even if the place has closed, best to find out with your own eyes if you can.

Fair enough thanks for sharing. Have you looked at proper job pop ups, if I could only use one it would be these tbh. KLS in washed out pink a personal favourite, but tbh on their day they all work. I have tried and own lots of pop ups(I have a bit of a problem😂) and now the only ones I take are proper jobs and innovate bait.

Name and shame, I would also complain if you don't think they are any good.

Ha ha, the kids call it a victory flag I believe 😎😱😅

It was tight to begin with so pulled 3 or 4 beeps and the tip was bouncing, so I knew it was on, was weird how little I felt because of the lead though, I didn't see it before it beeped as I was trying to pack up lol but a pleasant disturbance none the less 😂

And finally I get to join in a catch report. I've been trying to come to terms with zig fishing for the last few sessions, probably a bit late to the party but finally it's paid off, saw a showing fish at range and pinged one at it last ditch attempt, but as the lead hit the water a few seemed to be disturbed, so I chucked another one at them too, finally after a night of fishing like a bit of a noddy, I was in, i had tried fishing on the deck, spodding over zigs, and all I needed to do was put one in the right place, it was too close to hometime to really do much about it but finally I can catch em on zigs. strange fight on the zig as the lead didn't discharge, I was petrified lol but luckily my mates son came along at the right time to help me net it and photo it. But I've done it I've caught one on a zig,and a nice one too buzzing

Hand of god baiting pole
elmoputney replied to elmoputney's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Hand of god arrived, just fired some imaginary baits in the garden they went miles tbh. I definately don't think I'll regret getting the 8ft, you can feel the flex pushing the fictional baits further. -
Only way to know is test it and have a good look. Personally I don't like to take chances with hooklink so I would need to be confident it won't fail on me before I used it

Sounds like a winner to me, only thing that puts me off I can never be bothered to mess about making groundbait balls 😂 -

I've thought about the dog throwing stick before, I feel like they would need to be perfect size and it would probably damage the balls as you swung it. Have you tried the groundbait launchers you can attach to your rod? I bought one for a couple of quid but haven't got round to using it yet. -

I've never used a straight one. I've got a ridgemonkey one now, much prefer the carbon ones to the plastic tubes. -

I've used one for heavy baiting an area about 6 wraps, with pigeon conditioner it kind of went all around the zone but that was alright for thinning the weed. I'm OK with a throwing stick but you need to get into a rhythm, I found using a korda bum bag helped because it saves you having to stop to pick up more bait. -
I've heard of him, he was a bit before my time lol, Doesn't look a bad shout tbh, I used to play for the school 30+ years ago, must still have the skills in the locker 😂
