  1. Ridgemonkey crushas are now so last season, you will be spending £70 on essentially what looks like a coffee grinder soon. Omc B8M8
  2. Ridgemonkey choppas are also the best way to make lots of chops with minimal effort.
  3. Yes it will, great bit of kit,
  4. I'm getting Wilson with tailwalking pike vibes.
  5. If I didn't need too I wouldn't spomb, catapult wins everytime. My rule of thumb for should I recast or not is just trust my gut, if I feel I should have had a bite or have doubts I rechuck it, I've had many quick bites from a recast to the same spot for it to worry me these days. You need to feel confident and if you think your rig isn't working for whatever reason best to check. I don't have confidence in plastic baits, which goes back to confidence. I would go where I think they were and fish for liners. Also somewhere I could see a lot of water so I can look for signs. Just enjoy it and don't worry if you don't catch, it's the blanks that make the captures more worthwhile.
  6. Put it in your sleeping bag, just the gas not the stove it will warm it up a bit.
  7. Now you mention it I can see some of the trees underwater, I was quite perplexed by it lol, but it does look pretty cool, good luck.
  8. Why is that there, Is the question I want to ask? Seems such a weird thing to build right out into the middle of the lake, looks fun though good luck 👍
  9. Yeah up there with Tels Xmas videos for me 👌 I don't think it gets the recognition it deserves,it was ahead of its time.
  10. That just reminded me of this video for some reason 😂
  11. I'm blooming cold just standing at the smoking shelter at work. Hope you catch one, good luck. I'm going in to get warm.
  12. I have a greys 7ft stalker rod it's pretty decent tbh my daughter uses it mainly though, if you want a cheap, cheap one the ngt profiler ones are about as good as any of the cheaper ones, I had some but sold them, I find short rods feel a bit weird tbh.
  13. You can never have enough, They are always dirty when you need them, self cleaning buckets should be a thing. The ridgemonkey ones are also good, i wouldn't mind the complete set of those also😂 I've also got the tracker one with the airflow draining system. I think I have a bucket and hookbait problem.
  14. I just like taking loads of bits of bait would be good to just take it all in one bucket Crumb/chops Boilies Pellets Hemp or whatever particle I want to use that day, Then I can just mix it in the big bucket and spod as much as I mix.
  15. I've just done it Korda Kontainer bucket and ridgemonkey DLX brew set. 2 things I've kinda wanted for a while and not wanted to pay full price for 😬 Fishing outlet had them both on a deal and with an extra 10% off. They will both make me more streamlined and weight efficient 😂
  16. https://amzn.eu/d/bCGEtJI These with a couple of clothes pegs. #BobsyerUncle
  17. Mcf one looks the best http://www.mcfcarpfishing.co.uk/page22.html
  18. Do you guys wear your salopettes when in bed? Unless it's really cold I tend to remove them in favour of base layer and joggers as I get too hot. I also got some fleece lined workwear combats from Aldi a while ago, they are pretty good for when you first arrive as you don't want to be too hot when, carting all your toot about and getting set up. I also never wear my baselayers whilst setting up and wait til I'm sorted so I don't get too hot.
  19. If its really cold use 2 hot water bottles and just stagger the start times, that way when one starts cooling the other will still be nice and warm. Also base layers, good socks, sleeping bag, hat and hot drinks and a hearty warm meal are your friend. And use a groundsheet and overwrap on your bivvy, it will keep the free warmth from farts safely stored 😂
  20. Can you not bolt it, clamp it or strap it down somehow ? Seems weird that would be designed so that it was free moving. Good luck though
  21. Might be interesting to try making some fast breakdown baits, especially as I only get to do overnighters usually. Could be a good way of getting them on the feed quicker. That being said I could just buy some fast breakdown pellets and save the faffing about.
  22. I've been having a look at pellet makers, basically a mincer I think. So if you wanted to make a fast breakdown pellet would you just not use egg with your base mix/powders etc and just use water and possibly other liquids then just air dry?
  23. Maybe if you had glugged it before you chucked it in they might have all sunk, interesting idea though maybe something to think about. Was thinking maybe fastish breakdown nuggets.
  24. Okuma 8k, bulletproof, great line lay, smooth, 5year warranty, best reel in that price bracket.
