  1. I'm going today now so I will let you know how I get on, 👍
  2. I have watched some of his vids and they do seem to help tbh, next thing I need to learn to adjust is my hands I need to put one more finger the front side of the reel, I've enquired about going today, my boat isn't charged so I may just go manual for once and use the spod/leading rod to the max 😲
  3. At least it is not just me, I can just about get them100yds with no shock leader maybe I Do need some bigger rods 😂
  4. I am building up to need a cast to the moon set I think. But then I also think is it my rods holding me back or Just me holding me back 😂 I know some people could cast my rods much further than I do but should I just keep trying or just get some beefier rods and hope that makes up the extra required distance, I haven't reached for the shock leader yet on my rods, I can get the distance on my spod rod with shock leader easier so maybe that's what I need first.
  5. Daiwa crosscast have quite a nice fish playing action they do them in a 12ft 3lb tc I believe, I use 3.25lb and I can't remember losing many since I've switched to them. They are a nice slim blank. And feel quality for the money, mine are a special edition total fishing tackle version that you cannot get now but the crosscast traditional seems to have a similar spec and Cork handles which look pretty nice 👍
  6. I had one of those but couldn't get enough stuff in it was pretty good though, I now have a korda tackle box much better size for all the toot I think I need to take bit in reality seldom use whilst fishing 😂 They also do a big one which I bought but that wasn't good. Brew kit bag is a useful lil bag I keep my camera and lights and powerbank type stuff in it.
  7. I had my rod tip high last time i was fishing up to the pads, seemed to work really well tbh, I've tried various rod positions over the years but for this situation that is the best set up I've found, the fish never found the pads at all and it's easier to grab the rod so I could just walk straight back, the battle was fairly straightforward after that. This was on the end
  8. Basically when you fish tight to snags or features, you need to stay close to your rods and fish with a tight line so the fish can't escape into the snags, or when you put your bait boat right under a tree 😳
  9. You are right they aren't a budget rod. Nearly £600 each now, https://johnsonrosstackle.co.uk/century-carp-rods/21509-century-c2-sp-command-control-carp-rods.html#/12223,choose,12ft-3lb-6oz
  10. Bags are OK but actually the distance sticks the deluxe ones £12 are brilliant, they come with a 12ft cord FYI
  11. I use 12ft 3.25lb and don't find them too stiff, I don't feel like new rods are as broomsticky as they used to be, if you are wanting to continue using solid bags I wouldn't want to go under 3lb tc I have daiwa crosscasts I think they are a nice all rounder, I also think before you go chucking loads of money at rods, just try a different rig material. You may find your rods aren't an issue.
  12. You must be thinking about voting Reform party then lol.
  13. Not at all I've already spoken to them about it, while they don't fundamentally agree with it, they don't mention it directly in their policies and you know if we keep letting the tories and labour dump turds all over the shop we won't have any fishing anyway, apart from poop fishing. https://greenparty.org.uk/political-programme.html

    GOLD

I thought there was going to be a pic of you with Martin Kemp 🤣 Are you rich now?
  16. If only the nation hadn't lost its mind and allowed Borismania to sweep through with a long trail of destruction, I hope you will be voting green next time as they are the only ones serious about stopping it.
  17. Wow not at all contrary, imagine if you were more outraged at water companies that dump Actual sewage in our waterways.
  18. It's sounds like you are fishing in dictatorship not a fishery. If you are using barbless you won't need to file down the barb to remove the old hook from the kicker because the barb isn't getting in the way of the kicker sliding off.
  19. Looks pretty cool doesn't it, can you see where your lines go even without the blue lights?
  20. Are you going to get the police down to make it glow up?
  21. Good luck mate, How is the new line?
  22. How will you know what part was the problem if you ditch everything at once?
  23. I just looked on the proper job website gone up to £10.25 a tub now. Good job I have tonnes already 😳
  24. If I had a pound for every pop up in my collection I would be pretty wealthy right now 🤣
  25. The esp tungsten soft is a good coated braid there are plenty out there though, I think it is something that is possibly overlooked tbh, I did a quick search and some lakes have banned uncoated braid, perhaps more should,
