Carpbell3 Posted November 20, 2024 Report Posted November 20, 2024 Not a purchase as such but I have been looking at a new rod or two something in 12 foot 3lb test, the 10 footers are fine but if I drop on larger waters got a few in mind, I might need at least one 12 foot rod set up. Was looking at the Fox Horizon X4 to be honest i like my Torques so much Fox is the only high end rod I'd buy off the shelf, I'd get the 12 foot Torque rod but they don't do them anymore. jules007 and kevtaylor 2 Quote
Carpbell3 Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 GENIUS! I solved any winter heating issues so long as you have a suitable power bank, check this little 60 watt beast meant for greenhouses so is waterproof against damp and splashes. mrmud, jules007, Golden Paws and 2 others 5 Quote
Carpbell3 Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 Sorry that's a 45 watt beast even better plus it's green and carpy looking! mrmud, kevtaylor and jules007 3 Quote

jules007 Posted November 22, 2024 Report Posted November 22, 2024 Here is my latest purchase i scored this haul of 9 in number vintage strikeright centrepin reels all in original box`s some have paperwork in box 7 of them look as new the other 2 are in nice used condition, i cant say what i payed for this job lot but it was a very keen price indeed but i wont be keeping them as i do see a rather nice profit from them that will help offset some of the money i have spent this last few months jh92, commonly, elmoputney and 1 other 4 Quote

B B Posted December 18, 2024 Author Report Posted December 18, 2024 Had to get a decent pair of boots, got them in the go outer door shop. My mate has had a pair for awhile he’s done 300 miles over 4 months in all weathers and trails and recommended them, very light with no breaking in and comfortable. Black Friday £99…gone up to £125 Got a set of Merino wool base layers top and bottoms can’t speak highly enough of them, mountain warehouse had them in a sale both for £60 You can get them cheaper but go for a high percentage of Merino which cost more. jh92 1 Quote

Carpbell3 Posted December 27, 2024 Report Posted December 27, 2024 Not fishing related but a bivvy dehumidifier would be good, just bought one for the house, run it on the landing and it does the whole house nice makes the air nice and clean you can set them to any humidity levels you like. jules007 and commonly 1 1 Quote
