  1. I'd have a look at what fox have, just a shame they dropped the Torque range real quality rod at a fair price.
  2. Seen it done but it is hit and miss without a live feed back to a display that brings in range issues, I think for the costs and the fact the picture quality is going vary on water conditions it is not worth it better going with sonar.
  3. The costs so far are around 3000 pounds that is just court costs, solicitors fees would be similar, the barrister consultation was 900, I got that at cost. As I'm taking a bank to court on CC law for a amount less than 10,000 a legal firm won't touch it as the other side has three different legal firms working on it with the intention of running costs up above what the claim is worth and it is a very detailed bit of law, cheeky head lawyer for the defence said the court should kick the case as I'm not legally trained and wouldn't be able to prosecute the case, yeah... I now have my hearing date in a upper court and I'm proper winging it, lol.
  4. The courts really don't like people taking cases to a court without a solicitor they hate LIPs the case I'm taking has been kicked out four times and I put it back in four times, finally got a hearing date, all based on consumer credit law. What they don't like is if I win my case I will be one of the very few that took a bank to court and won meaning future case law for similar matters will have my case as a referral a LIP
  5. No win no fee are useless for the most part and be very careful on court fees if it goes that far, I'd first check if you can get legal aid for court fees, even if you can't get legal aid for solicitors fees, you might still get court fees paid, you can check on line, at help with court fees .gov. After that I would pay for one hours consultation with a legal firm that works that area of law, if they can tell you the relevant laws which you need to use and if it is easy to make the claim yourself, might need another hours fee to draw up paperwork which would be called a letter of claim explaining why you think they are at fault and the laws they are in breach of, and a rough financial amount at the upper end of what is acceptable for the injury. If they ignore that you would need to go to the money claims online, which is a country court and start you case for a CCJ on the laws you claim the defendant breached in error. That costs about 500 for a small claims court.
  6. You know when you just can't catch a break? Yeah I'm not out I was going to brave the rain but she has broke her foot badly last week so that definitely called it. Tell ya the next amateur civil servant that looks at me sideways is getting maximum abuse...😇
  7. Depends on wight options, you can get a chunky steel frame that will be a job in itself just to put up with it when humping around the lake, with that money I would get a aluminium frame bed and add the sleeping bags separate.
  8. Oh boulderdash, winter returns this weekend, I'm still out next week looks like the hot water bottle will be front and centre in the tackle bag. Lol,
  9. I use the loops and booms for combies, I rarely use fluro it can be too stiff a lot off the time, so I use either a really supple jelly wire from PB Products that is mainly for hinge chod rigs, for the combie I use the Korda coated braid that takes a crimping. Mainly due to eyesight issues I would need a fresh set of specs regular to tie my own these days,

    Dogs and fishing

As a side, Handsome dogs? What's that all about, I get random woman stop my dog to give him a fuss and tell him how Handsome he is, not just a one off happens regularly, I get ignored, literally. It's just odd and if a fella did it I would say something.
  11. The needles I had were the pack of three from thinking anglers, the hook beñd snapped on them.
  12. Three stripes of thinking angler spliced leadcore and I'm not a happy chap, gone through three different splicing needles trying to splice my kryston leadcore all of them snapped so the TA pre splices with no bits it is. Not bad a lot more supple than the Kryston, also got a set of the Korda inline skyliners. Roll on next week.
  13. First time I seen a cradle on the bank I was blown away by the stupidity of a cradle I was just pleasure angling on KWP pine pool, that was back when carp angling got serious and I decided to spread my wings and visit a few different carp venues. Done alright to be fair, reckon I'm about ready for a water I have always had a eye on Bluebells, going to do a bit on mallard, then I'm off 40lb plus hunting on one of the big fish waters at BB, Plus they have a bell on the end, got me wrote all over, lol.
  14. The green party have a few good policies they also would make the recreational cannabis trade legal or at least they make that claim, stupid making criminals out of people for something that is more inline with gambling and drinking than a prison worthy crime.
  15. Syndicates are something that rarely gets offered or talked about in a open forum, you will need to post a lot more and show off some day ticket stuff then you might get a few offers or bump your way up the list on any you are waiting for.
  16. do I need to get out trying to hold out for the end of the month but I'm pretty much ready to go. S&W bait and feed supplies are a good 'un they do the 25 kilo bags of pellets at a good price the bonus is free 24 hour delivery on all orders. DNA can get a fresh bait out fast as well ordered Friday got delivered Tuesday dog was savage for it and he is a fussy eater as in he shyes away from junk food, throws chocolate biscuits around as if they were rotted carrion.
  17. While we are on pensions I can confirm I'm not getting a council employee pension contrary to what some think, you have to pay for it every month on top of all the other deductions, so very few low paid council workers can afford a council pension, a certain lake owner seems to think just working for the state gets you a gold plated pension... I wish.
  18. What annoys me is the lack of a universal payment for all, the more money people have to spend the more the economy grows something both labour and the green party occasionally bring up but shy away from when the right wing press talk it down. Same for pensions I have payed in well over the amount needed for a state pension I even got my letter a few years back confirming what I will get, yet in Russia of all places the age for a state pension is 53, I'd be due my pension this year if I was Russian.
  19. I thought I'd pulled a bivvy bird one of those mythical creatures that walks the dog and can do a shop run.
  20. Angling nearly got backdoored a few years back still on the cards too, the intelligencer at a charity tried to use some law totally out of the scope of which it is intended to take a test case to court, inflicting suffering yada yada, the positive of angling outweighed the dumb logic not sure how long that will last though.
  21. Lol each to their own but the green party? Not for me I can hardly bring myself to vote labour. Field sports aren't a political issue other than cheap political tricks to make hunting a massive issue knowing most people will vote in favour of a ban as they call a act of Parliament. And yes the green party are anti angling they are a international party fully inline with ethical vegan policies, they would end fish farming, so sports fish don't stand a chance.
  22. Just stocked up on bait kit, five kilo of DNA switch plus bits and a 25kilo bag of pellets a nice low oil one that will absorb a food signal liquid. Really am looking forward to getting out, not getting a club ticket this year, I'm doing day ticket waters starting the end of this month all I need is batteries and a unhooking mat and I'm out out.
  23. Thought about it but way too pricey, the best option for at home for supper fast large amounts would be the large capacity air powered sausage gun that chops the pellet shape baits, think the same company makes it not cheap either.
  24. Trying to plan a visit to bluebells later this month, it's my burfday on paddies day if you ask me but I went over the clock so the 18th it is and that's why I didn't get the ultra cool Patrick name. I'd be like the king of the travelers with that pedigree. Anyhow, deffo getting out and two days on Mallard could be just right for a old fella like me out the wagon no barrow needed. on a side venue note, Ecton lakes have moved their runs water, Greab onto a day ticket water, bit pricey but we'll worth it.
