  1. Oh forgot to add got a NGT phone tripod not bad at all for the price
  2. You could work doors with that look, too nice for that though, I really dislike doormen, Doorwedge & Coathanger security lol.
  3. Good on AD bought there own brand top end net at the start of last year one of the metal collars on the arm snapped when packing away Saturday, my fault I was floor wrestling with it. Took it back with my best kid who dropped their ice cream face on and got a new net like for like.... just about there was a bit of huffing and puffing.
  4. Confidence level at maximum with the frankie mix https://youtu.be/FX51mwWyVFY
  5. I thought she'd either closed for good or I'd been banned again which would be surprising as I have proper stuck to the rules, think it's about time I got my edit button back, my last post went a bit choppy. Even been bothering Mr Cundiff over on twitter never knew he worked in the courts for the other team too, just show you never know who you're fishing next to.
  6. Managed a nice one myself last Friday in the belting rain, felt well earned after the last few visits to ecton, I done everything proper nothing was less than correct had two lost one of those a double common could of been into a few more but the rain was harsh and I'd already been in fully clothed. The mirror in the pic went to the right of the bay and made for the near Bank the other side of a overhanging tree I went risking it so in I went to get away from the tree brought it back to me on a clean line and netted it. Just under 28lb in a wet net.
  7. The sonic spod reel with braid nice smooth reel and for 40 odd quid well worth it, my Eric's angling spod reel finaly gave up had it a few years though.
  8. Your never too old for new things seems the Dr was ahead of the game.
  9. Fred's a star mate I can leave my bait shed door ajar no mouse or rat will come near the birds love him as he keeps the cats away and the old black moggie don't mind him either gets to sit out the front without other cats bothering him. She always has medical stuff going on all ties into hyper mobility thing.
  10. Always have a lead around got my mini rake for that if there is a donk to be found you will feel it. The deeper gives better results fast without all the recasting some lakes are near impossible to use a marker float once you get into a bit of weed soon the lead chokes up you get nothing back up the line you can hit a bed of weed on the cast more times than not. I put the deeper out find something to aim at clip up swap the deeper for a big lead or rake fire it back out and see how she drops I wrap up after that and put my rod a bait out.
  11. Tell you what if you don't mind the wait for rolled bait the frankie is easy one of the best baits you can buy, I will be using it for the foreseeable, stiff bait to gun out wouldn't want to do it by hand.
  12. I will add the benefits of a deeper I'm sold on them and you don't need the chirp model the very basic one does just the same job but in less detail, depths distance, bars, gullys, weed beds and hard spots which is the one thing the chirp does in nice colour detail.
  13. The Frankie mix is a good un it really does have a spice pepperamie aroma yeat there are no flavours as such in it it is a ingredients. I like it put another order in going to knock up a freezer full this weekend.
  14. Managed a visit to bishops bowl as ecton was closed had three lost one of them in the net Mrs just had the all clear from the second round of surgery just the radiotherapy which should be soon so I have a little time to drop back on ecton next weekend got a load of gutters backing up so will be busy busy next week. Not bad to be fair the place is weedy but not weeded up just enough to get anglers moaning. although, I regularly fish weedy venues the deeper really does make a difference three casts and three spots found. Yeah I forgot to put my teeth in they are like shoes, nice to get them off.
  15. Really liking the MPV should of got one years back but was always put off due to them being a bit cumbersome... tell ya these sedonas are just right for angling or a weekend van been a joy to just wheel the barrow in set up and half loaded. The room inside is immense and a totally flat layout from front to back once the seats are out
  16. Just updated the steamer for a boiling ring got it from a local warehouse shop in the Asian shopping area cheaper than the same on line same make so why not. The steamer is a bit time consuming a large pan of boiled water and a quick dunk seems less hassle.
  17. Boiling ring from a local shop cheaper than amazon
  18. Soz but I had to chuckle at that last bit I'm kinda lucky unlucky I got diagnosed with whatever they called it back in the 70s, I still remember doing my nut that I was in the special section of junior school by the time I got to secondary they pretty much just let me go feral went through a few social workers used to come and go from home as well just wouldn't be told nothing my risky behaviour was off the scale. The horrible side is if I'm not interested in something or someone nothing can change that really does cause problems for anyone close.
  19. I have watched a few of deans videos, without sounding too smart farce I was thinking similar myself for a frankfurter fishmeal, would be foolish not to go with a well designed base mix that has everything I want the herbs and spice mix alone would be a sod for me to mix up his thoughts on the seaweed are on point to say the least something I would of give a miss. It's his work so I will not say too much on why and what it can work better than that's added to most baits to raise food signal attraction. Got his Bait Anthology book coming aswell just the bits online about semolina flour are away from the norm you might say.
  20. Five kilo of the frankie mix from Scientific Baits with all the trimmings they use, there can be a three week wait for rolled bait as it is made to order. Also bought a copy of their bait making book ĺooks good for 12 quid you can't say no some bait books are out of stock fast and sell out of my price used.
  21. My bits go in either a korda tackle safe of the trakka pva bag. What I am doing is using mainly buckets for everything else, they are much better than bags in bags.
  22. Same as can't really do overnight for a few weeks so may as well save a few bob instead of chasing spawning fish, deffo a visit to bluebells before the end of June. Just waiting on her op results there's me getting ready to complain about the wait for results, they have to grow the sample to see what's what before radiotherapy surgeon was positive didn't need to remove as many lymph nodes as first thought.
  23. Idiot dog got hold of a hedgehog last night feeling real sorry for himself covered in spikes just like my hands I don't think he will do that again.
  24. Time to commit to a longterm base mix now I have a idea how things work. I will continue to make my own krill haiths mix but for a solid fishmeal I'm getting a base mix from scientific bait the Frankie mix I like what I'm seeing it's a lt fishmeal with seaweed and yeasts herbs and spices oils and frankfurter notes. My krill mix is about there just need to refine and replace a few things cut back on the tiger nut flour and add some whey ingredients the buttercell nut glm liquid is staying I will be getting that in large amounts. Try and get out for next weekish
  25. Look similar to the cygnet ones I got 48 on sale, can well recommend them you could wear them all day other than the hottest days.
