  1. Just waiting on a quote to get a steering rack valve replaced bit of a fiddly job so the roadside guy I use who is awesome can't do it without a lift. Worth getting fixed only got 60 thousand miles on it I doubt I will get it in this week, and screw legal aid I hired my own barrister that specialises in the problem I'm having drawing me up a nice letter to send if you're going on the attack, may as well, get a real attack dog.
  2. Don't you just love a greedy git, the company I'm in a legal conflict with just dropped a ball in a big way, they could of walked away even stevens but no lol, I now have my own solicitor team taking the case all on legal aid with a view to claiming damages. I did advise them they had broke criminal law in their use of civil law, looks like I was right,
  3. If you must, it is cheap enough. Tap water is fine though some use mineral water due to it not having a bleach smell, if you leave the water in a open container all the gases will come off and the bleach smell. At a rush 1 drop of lemon juice will do the same instantly in around 5l of tap water.
  4. Thought drones were banned on all waters these days bar park lakes, I felt bad getting the deeper but it really is necessary when you see the amount of information it sends back the depth readings are near spot on you really can find raises and dips plus get right up to the edge of a weed patch without battering it with a heavy lead.
  5. Not sure which department you contacted at the council but I go through the Occupational Health team all councils have one really good too it was them that got us the property I'm in now, we had a council house that has a staircase that wouldn't take a starlift or other adaptions so they helped out made a big difference than doing it myself.
  6. Yes definitely even more so the more the experienced the angler using it.
  7. I'm not sold on otter fencing they can climb them easily if they want they are pretty much a ferret they did a koi pond recently that had a electric fence.
  8. So it don't look like Twigged It won't be making it into carp jargon oh well I'm surprised he went with a elastic rig, I like those boxes for baited rods omc do. Sure Ali will be back with something else but I don't think a elastic rig will ever get a pass from lake owners, Those guys have some serious problems on the horizon environmentalists are getting super frothy for all sorts of access rights and fencing removal Labour running DEFFRA is always a bad idea.
  9. This one I think just under 36 but goes up to 39 nice fish out of respect I won't name the carp but it's the biggie out the little lake unless 43 is still in there. Gutted I'm not on there still it was the only lake I liked out the two I had a ticket for, really is a one off. https://youtu.be/K-wa4WsVGEY?si=hBXlyYeALJDqXUfd
  10. Liking the fox net holder, the cook system looks good but not my sort of thing too much faffing cook wear is needed though I will get a griddle pan and take the handle off, gonna need another bucket to get all the cook kit in.
  11. That better be a fruity number lol. Sacked this weekend so that freezer I got for the shed is paying off think I over did it with the hemp, was really looking forward to dropping the whole bucket in a likely looking area sit back and see what comes along. Got out the blue hospital appointments everyday till the end of next week, flipping doddle this caring malarkey,
  12. Nah the anti hunt lot don't mind angling same for ratting, they are nothing to concern angling all the propaganda they do have is laughable and miles from the truth. They are just annoying more than anything.
  13. Got a tub of munch baits tiger nuts in cola and the smell fantastic also grabbed a tub of their brazil nuts. One rod boile one rod tiger one rod brazil nut, all on hinged chods so i got some rigs to bait and balance far too much faffing to do on the bank when you want to get the rods out ASAP.
  14. I have tried to be either silent or encouraging on the twig as I think it is more suited to runs match carp angling or a gimmick rig nothing wrong with gimmick tackle as it is usually the day ticket pleasure angler that buys it. Would like to see Ali with his own tackle brand he puts loads into angling for beginners.
  15. Could well be, my fave bait is fresh hemp seed just knocked up four and a half kilo dry weight. Haven't got dry tigers in yet got my eye one something a bit special but it's a online buy and I'm in no position to be ordering bulk anything before I next get out so a tub of the Nash tigers to go in the hemp. I soak my hemp for three days if I can in just water I sometimes add a little flavour pack a day before cooking I find you get a better split seed ratio if you don't add anything when soaking the mix.
  16. Yeah they really are a big spend I doubt I will get one, I plan on fishing jigsaw at some point you can drive to most of the pegs on there. If I ever get the canal pool ticket it would be a must have.
  17. I'm looking at Barrow Conversions they do power systems for all barrows cheaper than others but not cheap, they do full barrows aswell, other brand barrows with their electric bits fitted. Seen a few out on the bank never seen any problems with them.
  18. Tempting, think they only fit the retractable rods though.
  19. Got three kilo of the frankie fresh not frozen, air cooked not boilled. Rolled them yesterday as pellet shape 16mm left them overnight laid out flat with a dusting of cell yeast mix, if I have it right they really should pump out the goods fast, got the idea from the odd loose boilie they firm up and skin nice without cooking.
  20. Definitely work in progress I think it is suited to a runs water and match angling bit like the method feeder , either way I'm in a right strop just lost 500 notes in a court case really am tempted to take it to the high court for a legal ruling or just cut my loses, I'm about ready to go beat the stinky winky out of the law firm I'm in conflict with. Got my chores done so I'm off in the morning.
  21. Scientific Baits are for me, had some good results on the Frankie they like it and look for it, the fish I had from Bishops Bowl was on a hot day when not much was coming out. The other lake likes it, that carp I had was a good un, but the two bream sealed the deal, both off the same spot the smaller one first then a bigger one the next day you would of thought they would of offskeed after the first one. I know it's a bream but what a Bream I didn't weigh it so if bream are your target these lakes have them.
  22. The swans are OK on this lake they don't put much effort into the hard to reach bait. I'd get over the other side and fish up to it if you can. Did have a message on Facebook last week enquiring after spots due to the guy raking that swim previously? I didn't reply as I don't use FB other than family and that on there. If you rake the weed out it will only cover over again within a day or two, Almost guaranteed if I have a couple out someone pops up to tell you they farted in that very peg only there weeks back ergo a couple of nice fish came out... yeah nothing to do with me wadding out and dropping six kilo of fresh hemp straight out the bucket in one drop.
  23. Oh I forgot, spod the granny out of it aswell.
  24. I have never raked a swim I sometimes drop a tiny rake in and draw it back a but not often. Anglers are too finicky over putting their rigs in weed, that nice carp I had the other week came out of spot that is 4 foot deep most of that being pond weed, no finesse or faffing just a 15 wrap cast, combis rig and a oily stick as close to the size as your rig, leave about two inches or so and put a swan shot right up to the stick and make a break in the rig coating just after the swan shot, works a treat.
  25. Great stuff good to see you post too always catching the recent catch section is getting a bit slow.
