  1. boiling water does the trick, requires a bit of practticeb ut doesnt harm the braid at all underneath

  3. morning lads and possibly lasses, just to let you know i fished birds green on Sunday using gold mantis on all 3 rods and caught two lovely carp one mirror at 12lbs 8oz a fat common at 19lb 7oz -pretty good for a coldish February session. Cheers for all the tips!!

  6. Thanks for the reply! i will have a look out for Krystonite next time im in the fishing shop. I was using snakebite and have blanked so much i think the fish can see it
  7. Hi im fishing a very clear lake with patches of gravel and some weed. Can anyone advise the best colour/type of braid for this enviroment as the fishing is quiet hard? Also, is is true that if you leave your hooklengths longer you will get away from catching smaller carp in a lake??? Many thanks Michael
  8. cheers for the reply mate. Iv managed to find a tackle shop in ayia napa so im goiing to go and ask if they do any fishing trips - i see what you mean about the Dams they look massive and full of smaller carp. ill let you know how i got on
  9. hi all, has anyone ever been carp fishing in Cyprus? Im off on holiday there next week and was trying to find some info on lakes etc and if there are any companies that offer day trips with tackle hire etc? Cheers

  12. Afternoon lads and maybe lasses, How do you guys present chum mixers when surface fishing. I wasnt to get the hook to be on top of the mixer rather than beneath it as im sure this is why im spooking fish? I currently superglue the baits onto the hook and tried a method of counterbalancing the bait by glueing a shot on the other side of the mixer but this just keeps on sinking the bait. Any ideas?views? opinion? Cheers Mike
