  1. Lucky it's fish, game birds are a similar process they are getting a good look into by all sorts of groups.
  2. Out my price range I'm sure, would be OK if you did a wide verity of angling but if this was your dedicated go to, it would soon kill the mystery, would for me at least.
  3. All rigs are a variation on the past the Withy rig, chod, reverse combi supple or stiff. Like Chilly the angler not keen on spicy cilli though, as a side guy on YouTube smoked the world's hottest chilli in a pipe, went temporarily blind and nearly passed a lung, you get 70 bucks for a 10,000 view video crazy.
  4. Another one for Gardener, not sure which one think it's thr HD.
  5. Not yet that's where Nash or Korda come into it, I doubt you could to be fair, you would need something like a Jacory power bank that has a three pin plug socket.
  6. Sorry that's a 45 watt beast even better plus it's green and carpy looking!
  7. GENIUS! I solved any winter heating issues so long as you have a suitable power bank, check this little 60 watt beast meant for greenhouses so is waterproof against damp and splashes.
  8. Ever lose the will to session fish just watch a few Terry videos and you will be up and running in no time, he is the Gangster rap of carp angling, seems a very private guy to be fair he could be top billing on all sorts of angling media.
  9. Not a purchase as such but I have been looking at a new rod or two something in 12 foot 3lb test, the 10 footers are fine but if I drop on larger waters got a few in mind, I might need at least one 12 foot rod set up. Was looking at the Fox Horizon X4 to be honest i like my Torques so much Fox is the only high end rod I'd buy off the shelf, I'd get the 12 foot Torque rod but they don't do them anymore.
  10. Never fished it on a Ronnie mind you.
  11. Looks a bit like the float and ledger set up from years back used to be the crossover from waggler fishing to big leads on the bottom, you end up needing to step up line size and rod rings, Walk out the shop with a carp rod and baitrunner.
  12. My Mrs is awesome been together 30 years it was her that got me back into fishing she even puts up with my terriers and they run rings around her.
  13. Good money mate I charge 35 a side for gutter and fascia cleans I have been doing it for years same for window cleaning. I'm just chuffed I can still do it at my age, well used to be able, ladders sold yesterday so no more nipping out to do a quick job.
  14. Baiting up is weird I took to dumping 3 to 5 kilo of hemp on one spot did alright as well that was at Ecton means a bit of dodgy wadding so I would sooner get a boat for that.
  15. Fair play to him he has put the work I on the lakes, he don't half get moaned about by anglers local to that area. Be well out of my price range these days.
  16. She has OK-ed the sale of my ladder collection got someone coming tomorrow to pick them up so no more window round or odd jobbing gutted a bit to be fair but can do without it, it was taking down old satellite dishes in the rain that brought my cold out a few weeks back. Also how I got my hernia last winter but that was me lazy lifting.
  17. They look a bit odd but I like them they come up on my FB profile
  18. Looks a nice place have looked at it before for a French visit. Just watched the pod cast the talks about Nash's lakes, his side does sound a bit rough, looks like he was just going to get messed around with bills and red tape if he fought to keep the place. Think all lake owners get accused of nicking fish from rivers and canals I take it as rumours the fella who runs Wellingborough gets the same said about him, and I doubt he would go out nicking fish for his lakes, the stock in those lakes is well selected from honest suppliers once you see what's in those lakes you will want a Dinton ticket.
  19. Mrs found out I had my gear on ebay, due to health reasons, made me take it down reckons I will be back out when it warms up next March lol, damp air really is going to be a problem will need to get a heated blanket or something.
  20. Been eating, well drinking, boilie mix super milk... had a real bad cold a few weeks back that was causing all sorts of breathing problems meaning I didn't eat right losing over a stone in weight. Got some of the mass gainer from optimum nutrition worked really well think I'm going to buy them regular and they taste nice, be just right for a fast meal when out angling. Got to have more tests for COPD xrays showed signs for it... Brightside I have a 64% chance of getting a PIP payment which should increase somewhat when I include my groin hernia which looks massive and needs strapping before I do anything.
  21. I don't use a leader and I'm not a fan of braid but I do use it on my marker n spod set up get something around the 50lb breaking strain mark and use it without a leader, I just don't like braid, the noise it makes sounds dangerous!
  22. Still not been myself it's the only venue appealing at the moment, well that and Ecton I'm a drive to your peg kind of guy.
  23. My catch reports are a lot like my cash reports, just moved from income support to UC I declare my earnings still not the smooth transition they touted. Maybe February for the carp bout the same cash.
  24. Never say never I have been using crimps for a few years now and not had a problem big fish as well, you need to be fussy when using the crimps you can feel the crimp snap closed when they are on right if there is any squash in the crimp the line slips about in the crimp causing the break above the crimp, least that is what I have found. I use them for combi rigs and booms in general if you don't like the crimps Gemini tackle do fused booms that are really decent 👌
  25. Thought about a boat just for baiting up still tempted I hate spodding really can shut a smallish water down.
