  1. What annoys me is the lack of a universal payment for all, the more money people have to spend the more the economy grows something both labour and the green party occasionally bring up but shy away from when the right wing press talk it down. Same for pensions I have payed in well over the amount needed for a state pension I even got my letter a few years back confirming what I will get, yet in Russia of all places the age for a state pension is 53, I'd be due my pension this year if I was Russian.
  2. Angling nearly got backdoored a few years back still on the cards too, the intelligencer at a charity tried to use some law totally out of the scope of which it is intended to take a test case to court, inflicting suffering yada yada, the positive of angling outweighed the dumb logic not sure how long that will last though.
  3. Lol each to their own but the green party? Not for me I can hardly bring myself to vote labour. Field sports aren't a political issue other than cheap political tricks to make hunting a massive issue knowing most people will vote in favour of a ban as they call a act of Parliament. And yes the green party are anti angling they are a international party fully inline with ethical vegan policies, they would end fish farming, so sports fish don't stand a chance.
  4. Just stocked up on bait kit, five kilo of DNA switch plus bits and a 25kilo bag of pellets a nice low oil one that will absorb a food signal liquid. Really am looking forward to getting out, not getting a club ticket this year, I'm doing day ticket waters starting the end of this month all I need is batteries and a unhooking mat and I'm out out.
  5. Thought about it but way too pricey, the best option for at home for supper fast large amounts would be the large capacity air powered sausage gun that chops the pellet shape baits, think the same company makes it not cheap either.
  6. Trying to plan a visit to bluebells later this month, it's my burfday on paddies day if you ask me but I went over the clock so the 18th it is and that's why I didn't get the ultra cool Patrick name. I'd be like the king of the travelers with that pedigree. Anyhow, deffo getting out and two days on Mallard could be just right for a old fella like me out the wagon no barrow needed. on a side venue note, Ecton lakes have moved their runs water, Greab onto a day ticket water, bit pricey but we'll worth it.
  7. I like the look of those SHB the bespoke ones, but most if not all of my angling is match the hatch, just the thought of not having the same as my loose bait on the hook is a horrifying what if? Session. The other forum?.... yeah I have had a look and shut the door on my way out, I sacked Facebook after receiving a random message that was a bit testy over the pic of a carp I put up on the group... "that's my peg"...lol what the heck.
  8. Thought the font of all had finally gave it up to Twitter not many site specific forums left Twitter and you tube are the Internet these days even the wackadoodle conspiracy sites get buried by the search engines.
  9. Ain't even been out since last summer hoping to get plenty done this year at leat once a month from February onwards, going for broke, looking for a water with 40 to 50 lb fish, bluebells seems the best option for me.
  10. I use rod sleeves very nearly bought a rod bag last year but no just no, I'm getting more buckets for the barrow that won't be getting much use this year as I'm planning on doing waters I can drive to the swim like bluebells. I have even been looking at baitboats the ridge monkey one can fit the deeper on the front.
  11. Nothing worse than a big company jumping on a bandwagon only to get it wrong, Avid are normally A1 if there is a problem I'm sure they will put it right with the mk2 version.
  12. Just can't catch a break, looking forward to a nice bit of early for me angling at a posh runs water and boom, tore my stomach lining leaving me with a nasty looking hernia, the only fix is a mesh patch which the NHS don’t do unless it becomes trapped in the stomach muscles cutting of the blood supply. To say I'm gutted is a understated pun to say the least. Merry Chrismas all and may all next years carp be special ones.
  13. Certainly have been a busy little bee Just landed a CCJ against an absolute giant in the commercial industry cheeky gits they really don't like it, oh well that's me happy, still no guarantee return of my money they have the time period to put their defence in unfortunately for them they don't have a defence, those barrister fees were well worth it, even advised me on how to take it to court myself save on solicitor fees. Personally I would sack the original law firm they used, they really do think no one will challenge their actions back at court. Also one the look out for a cheap but decent caravan for next year, she finally talked me into getting one.
  14. Originals are always the best
  15. I was spombing large size spomb and hemp out fine with boilies.
  16. I got the sonik spod reel this year with braid, I have snapped off three times spombing a small water, still got the spomb. The line really don't like hitting the clip, needs slowing down just before the clip. Thinking I will spool some 50lb braid to replace what snapped, should do it without having to bother with a leader.
  17. It's days like today I miss my window round, chucking it down hanging about in a random backgarden waiting for the complaints to come inif the customer has a ring doorbell and heard the conversation.
  18. That's due to AD getting all the wholesale goods at full discount, it is all based on sales, if they shift all of thir stock fast it gives them the right to order a larger amount until they are getting 75% of a manufacturers products.
  19. Arrow Medow.
  20. Not sure on numbers of members but it is always taking on new anglers, eight lakes spread over five sites mainly in Herefordshire think it's called Arrowchurch or something like that one price gets you on all lakes, they are a bit spread out though, so if you turn up at one lake and can't get on the next lake is a bit of a drive.
  21. Funnily enough one if the popular rules that annoys me is the rubber tubing one, I use rubber tube on my inline leads but not on a helicopter set up. The latest scam is a 10 thousand man syndicat spread over several lakes some of those lakes have four to five pegs.. good look with that ticket I would sooner do a few weeks on a good day ticket water.
  22. Thought I'd drop a post in. Called into my mates boat yard yesterday took half pint of red n whites two bream one about 3lb the other a skimer and a nice golden rudd hybrid, lost a couple as well. Not waggler fished in decades! Nearly got pushed in for smashing it on the yard tackle my angling mate was up there a few weeks back and had a larger bream out he cheated though, took his own tackle plus canals is his main venue. There are some large carp in and out of there my mate had one out a nice low 20 common a few years back, talk of a large dark mirror that is seen in the summer. Got a few pics on what's app no idea how to move them though, the rudd is a nice one.
  23. Yeah I'm still awesome with old cars, just fixed my steering for 8 quid and a squirt of lube.
  24. Wouldn't worry about those daft lights they just let you know the sensors need replacing anything serious and you won't need the light to come on, a lot of car sales places switch them off. Looking at 400 notes to get the rack out and reconditioned, not a bad price that it's a proper job just getting them off and on well worth getting it done though they sedona's sell for twice what I paid for it with more miles and no service history, proper rugged day van the steering fault came up in the last MOT as a minor, the old boy that sold it was in his 90s owned from new, he lived proper rural so the steering fix costs would be real high, I got the best reconditioning shops on my doorstep and loads of garages to do the work, I have let them pick the time slot, that is the best way labour costs wise.
