  1. Thanks , Yonny . Now you know that Hydro Tuff is available in Brown as well as Green , would you have gone for the brown maybe ? . 😀
  2. That's great , thanks very much fellas . 😃
  3. Hi everyone I am thinking about buying a spool of Hydro Tuff , but Brown or Green , and are there any breaking strains to avoid please ? . Ta . 😀
  4. 👍 😁
  5. Can't you train your little lad up to be a painter and decorator then you could sub contract , Highy ? 😁
  6. If adding floats as Elmo suggests doesn't work maybe Dannygooner uses a leightweight net as he is a mobile angler who travels miles ? . 😃
  7. Hello Lorez , which bought rig gave you most confidence / best hook holds ? . Why not take that rig and then buy the components to tie that rig yourself , unless it looks particularly tricky / costly , and you would be better off just buying ready mades ? . Personally I have never liked tying up rigs , I always seem to be putting it off ! . 😃
  8. That's a beautiful wallet , Highy . 😀
  9. Can you post a review of the Pallatrax Grips please Kev. ; IMO it would be good to have a review of beaked points to go along with Welders and Smufter reviews of straight points . 😀
  10. No , sorry , I've never seen anything like that before , good luck finding some . 😀
  11. Have you looked at the ESP Cryogen range , Kev. ? , maybe a Grip Rigger if the ESP blurb is to be believed . I'm not fishing a weedy lake at the moment , so unfortunately I can't give a personal recommendation . 😃
  12. Well if they have a mini submarine to go in . 😁
  13. Yes and laughing their socks off , which is why you don't see any fish wearing socks . 😁
  14. Just adding to what Framey has already said ; I once bought a Delkin because a lot of people rave about them , but I sold it and my Fox Micron M's do what I want just fine . If later on your needs change the Micron's are cheap enough to keep as back ups . Watch out that it's not you that gets " caught " by some of the fishing companies hype ! . 😃
  15. Hello Pablo , I started out float fishing lunchonmeat with a sz. 10 and 8lb line , but slowly I have graduated to a sz. 6 and 15lb line . Like Nick mentioned , the Carp I am likely to come into contact with aren't huge , therefore I'm not ready to go up to 18lb and a sz. 4 . I think you'll get used to scaling up if you do it in stages . 😃
  16. You Contrary Mary , Elmo ! . 😁
  17. The waters where I fish now I am spoilt , either a brick built flushable toilet or a Premier Hire Portaloo .; but at a previous lake , well I wouldn't have wanted to be a rabbit trying to get out of it's burrow ! . 🤢
  18. You're not easily put off are you , Mufty ? . The thing I don't understand is doesn't your local have any trees and bushes tucked away , and together with a trowel you wouldn't need to go home .? . 😃
  19. I'll have to try that excuse , I'm sure my boss will understand . 😀
  20. Well IMO I wouldn't advertise the venue with that horrible looking Carp , Smufter's Daughter's linear - now that's what I want to catch ! .
  21. Either all the waters in Hampshire are lovely , or , to me , you choose great looking waters , Dayvid . 😃
  22. I use the Deeper Pro + to map waters quickly , but with the fish finder turned off ; the PowerDolphin would be a giant leap too far . 😃
  23. Are you sure that isn't your personal " pond " on your " estate " , Dayvid ? . 😁
  24. Which " fella on eBay " is that please , Danny ? . 😃
  25. 👍 Well done , Nick .
