  1. My Wife took pain killers for 9 years for her back , 13 different physios. didn't help , but 4 visits to an Osteopath 5 years ago and has never needed another tablet since - and no pain . 😃
  2. How's your back Chill. ? , have the muscles relaxed , or are they still locked up ? . Presumably it was all that long casting and long distance baiting that did it ? . There's a lot to be said for being rubbish at casting , and sticking to the margins ! . 😁
  3. Can you tell us more please Buzz. ? . If I remember correctly ! my Mum was on tramadol before she had a hip operation . 😃
  4. While you're putting the insulation in , Highy , how much will the jacuzzi weigh when it's filled with water ? . 😃
  5. You're a clever little devil aren't you , Highy . I like the look of that jacuzzi to relax in after a stressful days' fishing . 😃
  6. Cheers , Yonny . 👍
  7. Did you try any floaters , trout pellets , mixers etc ? . If you did Capadventurer I don't know what more you could have done , and as you say you did enjoy the sun ! . 😃
  8. Hello Yonny Are you still " Tuffing it out " ? . It wasn't until I read one of Smufters' posts that I learnt about Berkley Connect CM90 and CM70 - how do you rate these lines as a snag line please ? . Ta . 😃
  9. I've got 2 . The 1949 IDP that covers Spain , Ireland , Malta or Cyprus and lasts for 1 year . and The 1968 IDP that covers all other E.U. states ( i.e. France ) and lasts 3 years . 😃
  10. Cheers , Mufty . 👍
  11. As I understand it , a rough rule of thumb is a 1 lb Test curve rod is used to cast a total of 1oz in weight ( which is roughly 30g ) - the 10-30g would be the recommended casting range of your little spinning rod I believe . Personally I would go for a 1 1/2 lb test curve as Nick advises , and then maybe later move on to the stronger rods the others have recommended , the 1 1/2 lb would then be used for floater fishing . 😃
  12. Can you tell us what your " third hand rod " is please - hopefully it still has a transfer on it which tells you what it is , then hopefully we can work out what test curve it is . 😃
  13. Just don't leave Elwood asleep in his car seat while you have a little mouch around the lake if the sun suddenly comes out ! . ☹️
  14. Well if Nige is personally autographing the Nash products that's bound to put the price up . 😁
  15. Well if Nige gives you a generous discount Highy that £200 may just cover the Nash stand ! . 😁
  16. I can just see you and your Son lying there with cucumber slices on your eyes Highy , but I'm not sure what your Wife will be doing while you 2 are enjoying the spa ? . Me , I got in early before the prices went up for Valentines Day and took my Wife to Wimpy . 😀
  17. Yep that's the one Nick , makes you look ex SAS . 😀
  18. That's very interesting Blue. , but I thought you suffered with your back and knees ? . I think my knees would protest the next day if I sat on a Lo Chair other than for a short period of time , and the same for sitting on a mat or the grass ; I am better off sitting on my JRC Xlite Chair at 3kg. 😃
  19. I remember a 'photo that Nick posted of his very discreet night time set up using a tarp. , very minimalistic and mobile .
  20. Lucky it didn't hit your windscreen . 😨
  21. Happy that you're pleased with the job . Hopefully out of the 4 weeks you were without the rod the weather was stopping you getting out anyway for some of the time ? . 😊
  22. " I'm under the stairs " Tree123 or Harry Potter ? . 😀
  23. Let's hope for the forums' sake you get out on Tues. , Smufter , that's 2 items to review . 😀
  24. Well roll on Tuesday , it should hopefully be a top job . Please keep the forum posted . 😁
  25. Well I was originally thinking about a Kayak , but now you mention sleeping on the boat , maybe a punt ? . I'm just guessing though as I've no experience of this sort of thing . As Kev says though " safety first " . 🙂
