Just adding to what Framey has already said ; I once bought a Delkin because a lot of people rave about them , but I sold it and my Fox Micron M's do what I want just fine . If later on your needs change the Micron's are cheap enough to keep as back ups . Watch out that it's not you that gets " caught " by some of the fishing companies hype ! . 😃

Hello Pablo , I started out float fishing lunchonmeat with a sz. 10 and 8lb line , but slowly I have graduated to a sz. 6 and 15lb line . Like Nick mentioned , the Carp I am likely to come into contact with aren't huge , therefore I'm not ready to go up to 18lb and a sz. 4 . I think you'll get used to scaling up if you do it in stages . 😃

The waters where I fish now I am spoilt , either a brick built flushable toilet or a Premier Hire Portaloo .; but at a previous lake , well I wouldn't have wanted to be a rabbit trying to get out of it's burrow ! . 🤢

I use the Deeper Pro + to map waters quickly , but with the fish finder turned off ; the PowerDolphin would be a giant leap too far . 😃

Thanks very much , Yonny and Framey . The weed in the shallows was removed after the carp had spawned and the fry hatched and dispersed , so I guess I'll focus my attention on the far margins with the overhanging trees and the dam end .

Hi Everyone So with the hot weather if there aren't any obvious shows where would you expect the Carp to be ? . I'm thinking that during the day the shallows will not have a lot of oxygen , and the Carp will move into the shallows under the cover of darkness . Maybe look for deeper water where the sunlight doesn't penetrate as easily as the shallows ? . Any ideas please ? . Ta 😃

My Day Off today , but I'm just trying to stay cool . Maybe if I fished through the night ? , but then I've got work tomorrow . O.K. who am I kidding , I'm just not motivated enough to make all that effort ! .

Hi Everyone I came across the above rig at a boot sale , and thought it might be worth a go I've never used a flurocarbon hooklink , I'm particularly wondering how abrasion resistant it would be around snags ? . Ta . 😃
