  1. 💪 Your bag looks very similar to my Nash bag , Highy . Trouble is now I am a more mature gentleman I need to watch the weight of things , so I use a number of bags to spread the weight around rather than 1 heavy one , and use a barrow . Also I like to look in my big Nash bag and everything is spread out in the bottom within sight and easy reach . 😃
  2. Now that's what I need to tell my Wife , Elmo . 😁
  3. Look at that wasted space where you have a couple of bottles , Elmo ! . 🙄
  4. So he's got nothing to do all day , but stare at your rods ? . 😁
  5. Hi Yonny D'oh ! , I recently stocked up with B5 . What if I bought some Trent Shrimp pop ups , and just used the B5 , or some The Source that I've got left over , as feed please ? . 😃
  6. I have an old , unplugged , chest freezer which is cold , and more importantly sealed from furry critters . All my bait goes in there , and it doesn't seem to affect it . 😃
  7. That's more or less what my garage said before I bought my CRV . The garages' recommendations were based on the amount of times the various manufacturers' cars came in with problems . The garage recommended anything Japanese , Volvos and others I can't remember , but not Smart cars .
  8. Hi , Elmo Can you post which car you eventually get pls. ? . There was a guy on here - Dalthegooner ( I think ) , who bought a Suburu Forester , and I would love to read his review . 😃
  9. Hello Carpbell I'll try again ! . I had a petrol , auto , CRV 2002 ; common spares reasonably priced , but a new propshaft about £1300 I think . On a long run about 30mpg . Now I have a 5 door Civic 2003 , about 40mpg on a long run , sits much lower than the CRV and lower yourself down into it ; everything is cheaper than on the CRV i.e. insurance , road tax etc . Interestingly much more legroom , back and front . I've always fancied a subaru , but my Wife says it's too big ☹️. My Wife also says she thinks diesels aren't so popular these days , so maybe you could pick up a bargain ? . I will be interested to read what you eventually buy . 😃
  10. Thanks , Yonny . I have an old Sundridge Minus 10 Suit which is waterproof and tear proof ( well so far ) , but it's bulky , so when I have some money / it needs replacing I guess I'll go Snugpak . 😃
  11. I keep reading the reviews for Snugpak , and I have some questions for you please , Smufter . What happens if you kneel down on the wet ground , or it's raining , how water resistant are snugpak clothes ? ; also if you are attacked by brambles etc , how tear resistant are they please ? . I guess you didn't catch on this occasion , but how was it being back fishing again ? . 😃
  12. Hi Mac You mentioned Bream , and one of the many things I have learned on this forum is your rig must reset ; so I'm thinking if you are getting a lot of silvers picking at your bait you don't want your rig lying in a tangled heap if your bait has been spat out . Therefore , I always use a coated braid . I also prefer pop ups as they are " primed / cocked " ready , rather than having to spin to get into a position to hook a fish when the hook is lying flat on the lakebed . I have some self tied Multi Rigs , but despite upping the hook size to a 4 my hook holds have all been in the scissors , and sometimes right on the edge leaving little margin for error . So I have been trying ESP Ready tied Gripper Combi- Rig in brown SZ.6 hook , and I hooked a carp yesterday in the bottom lip , but it's early days yet . 😃
  13. Excellent stuff , Ginger . Watch out Essex carp , Ginger's back ! . 💪
  14. Hi Ginger . How did it go ? . 😃
  15. What's wrong with McDonalds ? , then you could have got away earlier . I hope you are lakeside now , Elmo , surely you didn't get stuck with the washing up as well as the cooking ? . 😁
  16. Thanks , Smufter , but Thursday ? 🤔, it's always been Tuesday is White Cottage Day ; I wake up and you are at the water , and when I get home from work there may be a 'photo of you posing with a lump with the classic Smufter grin . 😁
  17. Is that a freudian slip , or a typo , Chill 🤔
  18. Any chance of a 'photo , Smufter in front of your new Trakker shelter ? . I read that Snugpak were going to be at Brentwood , but I couldn't make it . 😃
  19. Strewth Carpepecheur , for goodness sake be careful ! 😱. I think this is one occasion you don't want to be dressed head to toe in Realtree ! . 😃
  20. I use Hydro Tuff , Cpt. , and so far I am happy with it . Have you decided to use HT after finding your answer ? . 😄
  21. Missed the show this year , Blue , visiting my Son . Thanks very much for the review . Next year will your Wife be offering Bed and Breakfast at you gaff with a taxi service to the show and a packed lunch ? . 😁
  22. I will be very interested to read the " Smufter Review " . The German guy in the video seemed to spread the brolly open with incredible ease , something which ( as I haven't got the arms of an Orangutan ) I find a bit fiddly ; also having " flicked " the brolly open the sides appeared nice and taut without any tweaking i.e. pegging down after using the strap to pull the sides in . 😃
