  1. So do they put something special in Cotswold tap water , or are you into " blue smarties " , Chill ? . 😁
  2. Do French Do French molehills smell of garlic , adding to their attraction ? . 😁
  3. Well surely it will only take a couple of minutes to make your lady pregnant , then your work is done , and off you go fishing ? . 😁
  4. You cunning , cuddly , rascal , Elmo . I hope you have your own laptop / computer away from all seeing eyes ? . 😁
  5. Hi Yonny . I've gone for the 14mm Pop Ups , 1 x White and 1 x Pink as I was advised exactly as you say that a 12mm would need some help supporting a large hook , so I thought I would rather trim . Yes , I was told the same about the shelfies , what great timing for me , it's much easier to sneak some shelfies in than explain why I've turned my bait fridge on . I guess that your Mrs has come up with the lame excuse that if you want to eat then she needs to buy food and store it somewhere 🙄 . 😃
  6. So how do you then weigh your fish , Blue , a separate weigh sling ? . Oops ! , just read your earlier post . Which weigh sling do you use please , as you have obviously trimmed your gear down very carefully . 😃
  7. Right I've ordered some Shrimp Pop Ups , and if they are as good as you say , Yonny , in around 3/4 weeks Trent will be selling Shelf Life Boilies 👏 , so I'll have some of those . Of course if I don't catch on the Shrimp Pop Ups it will be all your fault , Yonny ; nothing to do with my rubbish casting , not walking the lake until I see signs of fish , the weather , my rig/presentation , and generally fishing like a plonker . 😁
  8. You mean act dumb ? , well that doesn't require much acting on my part ! . 😁
  9. My Wife donated her craft box ( which has lots of different size boxes you can buy to put in it ) to me . You might like to look in the shop Hobbycraft . 😃
  10. đŸ’Ē Your bag looks very similar to my Nash bag , Highy . Trouble is now I am a more mature gentleman I need to watch the weight of things , so I use a number of bags to spread the weight around rather than 1 heavy one , and use a barrow . Also I like to look in my big Nash bag and everything is spread out in the bottom within sight and easy reach . 😃
  11. Now that's what I need to tell my Wife , Elmo . 😁
  12. Look at that wasted space where you have a couple of bottles , Elmo ! . 🙄
  13. So he's got nothing to do all day , but stare at your rods ? . 😁
  14. Hi Yonny D'oh ! , I recently stocked up with B5 . What if I bought some Trent Shrimp pop ups , and just used the B5 , or some The Source that I've got left over , as feed please ? . 😃
  15. I have an old , unplugged , chest freezer which is cold , and more importantly sealed from furry critters . All my bait goes in there , and it doesn't seem to affect it . 😃
  16. That's more or less what my garage said before I bought my CRV . The garages' recommendations were based on the amount of times the various manufacturers' cars came in with problems . The garage recommended anything Japanese , Volvos and others I can't remember , but not Smart cars .
  17. Hi , Elmo Can you post which car you eventually get pls. ? . There was a guy on here - Dalthegooner ( I think ) , who bought a Suburu Forester , and I would love to read his review . 😃
  18. Hello Carpbell I'll try again ! . I had a petrol , auto , CRV 2002 ; common spares reasonably priced , but a new propshaft about ÂŖ1300 I think . On a long run about 30mpg . Now I have a 5 door Civic 2003 , about 40mpg on a long run , sits much lower than the CRV and lower yourself down into it ; everything is cheaper than on the CRV i.e. insurance , road tax etc . Interestingly much more legroom , back and front . I've always fancied a subaru , but my Wife says it's too big ☚ī¸. My Wife also says she thinks diesels aren't so popular these days , so maybe you could pick up a bargain ? . I will be interested to read what you eventually buy . 😃
  19. Thanks , Yonny . I have an old Sundridge Minus 10 Suit which is waterproof and tear proof ( well so far ) , but it's bulky , so when I have some money / it needs replacing I guess I'll go Snugpak . 😃
  20. I keep reading the reviews for Snugpak , and I have some questions for you please , Smufter . What happens if you kneel down on the wet ground , or it's raining , how water resistant are snugpak clothes ? ; also if you are attacked by brambles etc , how tear resistant are they please ? . I guess you didn't catch on this occasion , but how was it being back fishing again ? . 😃
  21. Hi Mac You mentioned Bream , and one of the many things I have learned on this forum is your rig must reset ; so I'm thinking if you are getting a lot of silvers picking at your bait you don't want your rig lying in a tangled heap if your bait has been spat out . Therefore , I always use a coated braid . I also prefer pop ups as they are " primed / cocked " ready , rather than having to spin to get into a position to hook a fish when the hook is lying flat on the lakebed . I have some self tied Multi Rigs , but despite upping the hook size to a 4 my hook holds have all been in the scissors , and sometimes right on the edge leaving little margin for error . So I have been trying ESP Ready tied Gripper Combi- Rig in brown SZ.6 hook , and I hooked a carp yesterday in the bottom lip , but it's early days yet . 😃
  22. Excellent stuff , Ginger . Watch out Essex carp , Ginger's back ! . đŸ’Ē
