    I've got a Sundridge Minus 10 Suit ; like Carpbell says about his Ron Thompson suit my Sundridge does the job , but I can't help hankering after a more up to date Snugpak , and I'd need waterproofs over the top wouldn't I ? 🤔 😃

    Hi Carpbell I'm a Postie and I love meeting peoples Dogs , giving them a stroke , and not having to walk / clean up after them / feed them ! . Dave has certainly mastered the " look at me I'm a cutie pose " . I'm rather taken with a couple of French Bulldogs on my " Walk " at the moment , but if I ever got a dog (not really practical ) I think it would be a Spaniel . 😃

    Hi Nick It's great that you , and others on the Forum , enjoy yourselves even though you haven't caught anything . My Wife says she gets it when I come home and asks me if I had any " no , buts " i.e. " No , but I saw the Kingfisher , and the Buzzards were flying low enough to see clearly " . 😃

    Hello Newmarket As Nick has intimated some of those hooks you have mentioned are classics that you would struggle to get hold of . Why not buy a selection of ready tied rigs and decide which you like best , then it's just 1 knot to join them to the mainline ? . 😃

    Thanks for your help , fellas . I was just clutching at straws that the carcass wasn't a fresh kill . I'll just have to wait until Spring when the Carp are more active / visible to get an idea of how much damage the otter(s) has / have done . I enjoy fishing this lake , but I may well have to find a different venue . 😭

    I'm glad I haven't got a brain like yours , Elmo , I have enough trouble trying to find some peace as it is 😁. Just to mess with your head even more - is the Palm Test reliable anyway ? , i.e. does the hook behave a lot differently when in water 🤔 ? . 😃

    Hello Everyone , I'm back again ! . So today , 10 weeks from when I discovered the first Carp carcass I think I've found another in the same area ; it was muddy ( from being dragged ? ) so I couldn't positively identify it . My question is please , could that be the same dead Carp that I saw in Nov. , or would that have rotted away / been eaten by rats , foxes etc , and reduced to bare bones by now ? . Ta 😃

    Well I can understand why Sky would be happy with minus 2 , but I guess your ancestors came from Siberia , Nick ? 😁. Realistically would you expect the carp to feed on your bait , or be snuggled up in the weed where they've got security , warmth and food ? . Still , as you say it's your happy place , so does it really matter if you catch or not ? . 😃

    Many thanks for all your help , everyone . Later this week I hope to visit the lake again , and have a mooch around the far ( out of bounds ) margins to see if there are any more corpses - hopefully not . 😔
