  1. Reporting from the social, I decided to move on Saturday morning had a walk round with Dale and decided it was best, I moved into Bogmageddon and after a slog with the barrow, fannied about and found some spots, it soon became apparent I had made the right call when I saw one bosh to my left, then another to my right, got the rods tried to throwing stick some boilies out as I managed to lose my spod in a shimano faulty bail arm incident, that the others didn't rinse me for at all 😂

Of course within minutes there were a flock of seagulls trying to eat every last one. But I figured I has some in the zone, within an hour I had a weird bite lifted One bleep dropped right back then lifted again, and I was in, went right to get behind an island then went left to get behind another, then wstsyed deep to try and lose me over the massive plateau betwixt us, but I got it over, it tried to go through all my lines and eventually I netted the beast of bogmageddon, all 27 and a half lbs of it, Leon (commonly) came to assist with the photos and as actually managed to make me smile for one 😬

As I write it's lashing down the swim looks like a wet Glastonbury and I'm not looking forward to packing up but it's been fun and eventful, maybe time for another but it doesn't seem as likely today, hopefully I've pushed them down for Leon to have a busy night tonight.

  2. In the olden days I used to enjoy using a CSL pellet I found they were a good fast breakdown pellet, but they seem harder to get hold of these days, can anyone recommend a decent supplier of them please as I think I want some again 🙄

  3. I've been buying some bits mainly ESP and mainly end tackle chod bits

And some korda chod krimps and J precision chod hooks

And I am going to restore my old esp  catapult new medium elastic and and new boilie pouch. Literally on cloud 9 after planning this restoration. Exciting times 😂

I'm thinking of a (Re) purchase of a Deeper....

I can't decide whether to sell mine or keep it at the moment 😂

Part of me wants to go back to basics, simple fishing but I also know they can be really handy at times 🤔

    Hi Elmo,

Just had a quick look at the Bivvy,

    There's -

2 Zip Bivvy Bags, 2 Full Skins, 2 Full Fronts with all Doors, but Only 1 Groundsheet.

So (eventually) i will swap the older Bivvy Skin and Full front for the New Skin and Front, so there will be a Spare Skin, Full Front and Bivvy Bag.

Ooooo and also found these in the Bivvy wrapped up.

Should I be a good mate and let him know ? Or should I think they were in the Bundle 🤔🤔🤔🫣🫣🫣

I would probably be a good mate, as you never know when you need one. But would he return them to you?

    You have PM thanks

  7. Well done guys, glad you all doing well, 🎉🎉

Christmas wasn't the excess of old this year, first Christmas since I was a kid when I didn't drink at all, i did eat quite a lot of cheese based buffets and chocolates  though, we had a little finance check up over Christmas and worked out where we were spending too much money, we were eating quite a lot of takeaways was quite an eye opener I can tell you 👀 we have now banned ourselves from them, luckily I had already boycotted papa John's, dominos, McDonald's, KFC already but the kebab man, Chinese and curry house are going to feel the pinch 😢 but we're going to be healthier this year, as a family we Are taking back control.

I am going to go back to intermittent fasting soon as that seems to work for me. I am starting the year feeling ready for another go, I have just bought a new fishing mobile and a load of car cleaning products too I am becoming that guy, you know the one Sunday morning bright and early getting that jetwash blasting and the suds a singing. I've got snowfoam and I am not afraid to use it 🤣

I am looking forward to it already 😂👌

Have a good new year guys.

I would go on a limb and say some of the NGT luggage is up there withbthe best....I've had the Small, Medium & Large Holdalls, Buzz Bar bag and never had 1 fault with any of them.

I've had a few luggage bits that seem to do the job well, I couldn't find anything else that I thought would be better this time, I think I am going through a reorganising phase again.

  9. I went in the garage to find a mouse has destroyed part of my coolbag, including the zip and insulation , so that's [censored]ed

I looked at all the options and thought none of the top fishing ones really did the job I wanted which was house all the stove, gas, brew kit and toastie maker in the pockets and have enough space for food and drinks etc most seem to want you to have a seperate brew kit or don't allow all the options, so after much deliberation I saved some money and I've bought another ngt one for £20, the last one I had lasted years fitted all the brew kit in the external pockets leaving the big section free for food and drink, I've gone posh this time and gone camo 😂

I'll have a full butchers when have a good dry day or 2...I completely forgot about it. There's 2 of everything except Storm Poles....2 Bivvy Bags, 2 Door/Full Panels, 2 Groundsheet.

No worries, I wouldn't mind a front panel and a groundsheet off you possibly 👍

Just looked at the Bivvy off my mate, and I forgot he got 1 of the 1st edition AXS bivvys......

when we were out on a session I noticed his Bivvy was alot lighter khaki green than mine, also he had no flaps over the rear zip windows, so we emailed sonik and didn't think nothing of it.....UNTIL

He gave me a box and it had in a full new AXS Bivvy System, without the frame, Skin, Panel, Door, Groundsheet the lot....

So now I've got a Sonik AXS Bivvy, with 2 skins to choose from, 2 lots of everything except Storm poles, and an overwrap.....if only I could get hold of an AXS frame I'd have 2 AXS bivvys.

If you don't need any of the spares let me know I'll do a deal with you 👍

For Xmas I got a couple of pressies

    Ridgemonkey throwing stick

    Korda bait caddy

Hope you all had a great Christmas

OK lads, cash is going to be tighter this Xmas than ever before (thanks to the clowns that run our country), but with a few months notice, I'd like to arrange another social.

It was great to put names to faces a few months ago.

I'm sure the others that attended would agree???

    So, who's in?

Numbers will dictate the venue, but as before we are fairly spoilt for choice & open to suggestions......?

Yes i could be interested also. I have only been once I think since the last one 😱

Going off topic slightly, is life too expensive???

My daughter is coming to stay before Xmas. There's a nearby farm that puts on a good event at holiday times. So for 4 adults 4 kids to attend for meet santa etc. £339???

Blimey, I'll try another lass well known farm up the road £209???

I earn reasonable money and there's no way I'd pay that kind of money to get in. Crazy thing is, I looked at availability and both venues were near enough fully booked???

This country and the cost of living is out of control. I can't see how anything will change. The rich get richer and the poor can be left to rot....

Time for a major change I feel??

Totally everything is mental now, we tried to get Taylor swift tickets a while back as thought it might be a nice treat for the girls, £600+ EACH, needless to say we arent going to see her. Even local panto was nearly £200.
