Before I sold all my Gear, I had the Top Names - Shimano, Daiwa, Sonik, Korda....etc etc. But lately I've started regrouping all my Gear and is Mainly NGT. NGT - 2x 6ft Profiler Rods, 2x Profiler Reels, 2Rod Holdall, Backpack, Banksticks, landing net...shelter is Angling Intelligence, Chair n Matt are Sonik. Only have 1 Alarm at moment, but now I'm now shopping for Alarms n Reciever a 2 Rod Pod & some Line. commonly and jules007 2 Quote

kevtaylor Posted May 12 Author Report Posted May 12 (edited) Another 3 night blank, new swim, position seemed good for traffic, only one stuck it's head out the whole trip. Did hours of swim improvements/clearance for no reward, out again Thursday night for another go - same conditions 🤦♂️ Still nice view lol Edited May 12 by kevtaylor commonly, elmoputney, crusian and 3 others 6 Quote
kevtaylor Posted May 25 Author Report Posted May 25 New swim, more work done, a fish but overall frustrating 48hrs. The quicker they spawn the better imo. B B, commonly, jules007 and 3 others 6 Quote
salokcinnodrog Posted Wednesday at 15:48 Report Posted Wednesday at 15:48 When I set up on Monday it was absolutely scorching, but was able to get positioned in as much shade as possible. Well back from the water, and positioned so we only get the full sun from 4 until 8pm. I say well back from the water, when the lake is full, this spot is actually underwater. kevtaylor and crusian 2 Quote

Good grief , Nick , did you drag that humungus pile of weed out of the lake ? . How did you manage with the heat of Monday , and Tuesday ? . I should be fishing tomorrow in the relative cool , but to fish in the deepest part of the lake , or the shallows ? 😀 Quote

Sky has been swimming every day as we walk around to keep cool. I'm up in the shallows, but until this morning I hadn't seen a thing. The deep end is wall to wall with thick weed and is unfishable. The weed is what had drifted, so I was able to net it out. It left me enough room to have the rods over the top. crusian 1 Quote

I know one of the bailiffs on Brackens used to use solar powered 'rock lights' to light the trip hazards in his swim, and had a Solar panel to charge his powerbank and laptop. Quote
