Nah its a pretty chilly one tbh but yeah does look good, nothing doing yet though. I did spend some extra  time levelling my rods since that photo, they look perfect now 👌

Also that dude won't catch he's got a massive spot light on the top of his bivvy, nods r us

I use Garcia Mitchell 301 reels , and I always have my anti reverse off .

Perhaps you have the clutch on your 410 set to give line easily ? .

I'm worried that if you get a violent bite your lovely new rod would go flying .

To be honest ( if it was me) I'd put a bit of foam rubber in the butt eye and leave the bale open... slackening off the clutch so it spins on a take will impart twist into the line... looks ace though...👍

there was no need for slack drag orfoam on an open bail, the bobbin on the bank stick was not in use as i was fishing with a stick float
