I would look at those too, i have a shimano baitrunner and I don't like it, poor line lay and I really don't like the double handles, feels a bit like a toy to me.

Is looking like between Ultegra 5500, Okuma CB 60, Sonik Insurgent 5/6000

Okuma all the way then mate, my 8k have never missed a beat in the whole time I've had them, I dropped one in the pond still smooth as a baby's backside.

How much are they going for ?

I've got four of these, and love them. They're absolutely bulletproof given a bit of servicing every once in  a while. Think I paid around £65 each for them.

I've got 3 of the XTE-A 5000s that I've used since new. These were the last they did in a 5000 size. Great reels. Never had a problem with them I can't say why, but I've always preferred rear drag reels and don't see the need for the larger reels where I fish.

If I ever fish larger waters or need to get further, I'll probably get a boat.

A mate had a pair of these and ended up selling em for silly money.

Mate was out yesterday for the day, used his Wolf Competition Spomb for the 2nd time, after about 4 casts it all broke 🙄🙄

It didn't open and on retrieve, he lifter it up, opened to see if anything jammed then the spring flew out, the mechanics had all snapped inside.

I've sorted it this morning for him and got him a Performance Spomb on the way from Wolf.

If you go on the premier website, he’s put a notice on the home page, he’s still doing boilie making ingredients, but he’s stopped rolling bait. He says it’s time to retire.

@emmcee how did you find the superaminos? I guess as you used it for 12yrs, you rated it!

Excellent bait mate. It changed a few of my mates catches right around. They would average 2 or 3 fish a season from dinton when we were on there  but once they  got on this then they averaged 10 fish a season. Would say it was a big fish bait but I've caught big fish on all the baits I used from premier,  though my mates certainly caught better fish when using it. Use it with 100% confidence. A couple of my mates are still on it .  Luckily they put a big order in back in May so have some still.

Managed to wangle 2x Shimano Ultegra 14000 with spare spools and reducers......someone wanted to swap for my Daiwa Crosscasts 🙄🙄

1 of the reels wasn't "Clicking" on clutch....So

I've removed the spool, emptied the spools washers and the ice washers were dripping in oil/grease.

So I removed them, gave them a clean and I thought clean under the spool, noticed something wasn't right, and noticed the Drag Clicker was backnto front made them both the same and now Clicking like new.

Try to Put the middle rod in the opposite way around

that how I had to do mine on the set that I used

Mines the Cotswold stalker rod sleeve

Yah, tried that doesn't work 🙄

Another suggestion was take the reel off the rod and place infrastructure of the others, and can still strap rod in.....

But I've bought a single rod sleeve now 😁...£15

Not a purchase as such more of an apology and gift. Back a couple of weeks it was an air dry your bait at work day. So I did but unbeknown to me the housekeeper on the job I was working at was feeding the baby seagulls from the bedroom window i was decorating with my bait 😳 laughing she apologised today and gave me two bags of homemade frozen bait and a tub of corresponding cork pop-ups. Her son is a Carp angler who belongs to 3 syndicates he gave them to me as as an apology for what his mum had done.  IMG_7055.thumb.jpeg.748a61fd90a76dfe86346ff39aafd153.jpeg
