That shop been there for a while lads. I was seeing a girl in the early 90,s and she lived across the way from the shop. My only worry is what happens when AD own most tackle shops...... do prices go up and up as theve cornered the market ๐ค๐ค

Is it still the time of year to go for it baitwise ?ย
Particles yes or no ? I have 5kg I want to use up and quite a lot of bait in my freezer,I have Sunday night ,booked on vermuyden, weather looks quite mild I feel like spodding for a big hit match carp style good idea or suicide ?ย
Donโt let the date on a calendar change the way to fish. To my mind these last 3/4wks have been near to perfect fishing conditions and in turn the fish WILL feed to the conditions, not what time of the year it is. Iโve been putting a lot of time on my local,as you can see by the catch reports doing around 4 day sessions a wk. At the end of every session at least 4k ofย boilie/pellet/particle was getting spodded onto the spots, given the weather was spot on for a big feed. If weโd had clear, cold, high pressure days/nights Iโd of put far less in but still keep it going in. Good luck on your session Elmo. ๐ฌ๐๐ฃ

They're frequently seen over our village, Stevo. You've met Alan, my son. He's into hawks in a big way and tells me that the larger predators such as buzzards and kites are growing in number, year on year. I love them!
Ian.
There certainly impressive to watch,Ian.

Probably a buzzard, mate. They're big, strong creatures and can easily hold station in windy conditions.
Ian.
And we have plenty down the marshes, mate. Was an impressive sight, mate. ๐

Iโm rubbish at wildlife so need some help. On the way to the lake this morning itโs a 10min drive along a marsh land i seen a bird of prey hovering that was a lot bigger than the Kestrels we have down there. It was a blowy morning but it was definitely hovering any ideas ๐ค

Since I took up mainly carp angling 10 years ago and I know itโs been said to death but the most important thing Iโve learnt is location, location, location. If your doing short day sessions or even 24hrs if they ainโt there you ainโt catching !ย
The amount of time on a day session Iโve caught within 20mins of a move onto fish is unreal,if they ainโt there go find em ! Youโll catch more !ย

I'm just makingย the most of limited time mate:
Twice a week in the evening when the mrs puts the little'n to bed I'm driving like a madman to the lake, baiting up like a lunatic, and scooting back home before she's finished. I'm fishing Friday mornings. I only workย half days on Fridays anyway so I can get the day off for a half day holiday. Getting there at first light, few hours fishing, job done๐

AD are the cheapest around but snapping up the bigger shops around,itโs only a matter of time before they have major control, the average tackle shop just canโt compete ๐
