B.C.
Having a look at a couple of waters sometime before Sunday.... Reduction in ticket prices at this time of year (if there are any left) and with recent Winters being fairly mild for the most part, I think you can get a bit of value in Winter tickets these days.... Least ways, either place has got to be better than the last debacle I joined...…. Both about 1hr away on a clear run. Wanting to make a day of it really, if I can free up enough time. Good 3 to 4 hours wandering the banks on each and hopefully a quick chat with anyone fishing...…. Fingers crossed for a new water...🙂 cyborx, finchey, cloud9 and 1 other

The main lake on the estate looks spot on & have already started prebaiting a few marginal spots with the hope of getting some fishing time later in the week . Never been fished apparently so haven't a clue what might be in it . But already seen a few lillies moving so fairly sure there a carp present but not seen any as such . Just going to keep a bit going in & what will be will be . Got a rod out for an hour this evening but no joy , hopefully get a bit longer on Saturday 🤞 finchey, yonny, B.C. and 3 others

B.C.
2 waters I looked at turned out to be a no go today..... Too close to the River Cam with no Otter fencing, bit of a risk imo, especially as water levels were well down too, be like shooting fish in a barrel for Mr Otter, who has visited before, I was told...…… Add to that, the water I'd planned on leaving threw up a mint 38lb Common yesterday...….. Dilema 🙄

Ian Trying to mate but customers don't seem to be getting the message lol . over 20 years on the trowel working by myself has started to take it's toll so it was time for a change . Had this summer away from the trowel working with a mate . Did do a job at the back end of August that was already booked in , but I've been turning work away all year now ..... very alien feeling as you can imagine!!! But really enjoying the change & using plant ,still self employed so nothing has really changed just bringing in the money with a different set of tools . That specialised work you did must have been a solitary existence for 20 years and there's a lot to be said for frequent human interaction. One of many reasons that I enjoy working with Alan, my son. Like you, we're self employed and responsible only to ourselves, our clients and HMRC.....in diminishing order of interest....……..Really need to get a social organised soonish. I seem to spend more time fishing in France than in the UK in recent years. Ian chillfactor
