  1. Me too! Be lucky Finchley, the weather's looking good for bite🤞
  2. You lucky bar steward. Get in mate, keep em coming👍👍👍
  3. On the very rare occasion mine go off, I haven't noticed a delay, and I've been right on my rods. Have you seen any of the underwater films?? There is always a bit of delay from the fish taking the Bait to the alarm sounding.
  4. I got the energizer one's. Seem OK so far! Like I said before they only seem to to go off when I set up and pack away. 😔
  5. Is it twin skin with the mozzy net on each internal section?? Bargain
  6. Mine are tight but at least I know they won't fall out in the fishing bag. Sometimes I screw a bankstick on to pull them out. Same my receiver has gone tacky, not too sure why, I made the mistake of trying to clean it with a baby wipe. Now it's gone fluffy. I'd be interested in seeing the case you get Highy
  7. It's a yes from me!! 👍 Got mine a few years ago with the updated snag rest, so no need for ugly snag ears. Changed the rollers to 4 mag, sticky receiver case, but very very very pleased with how they look. The biggest problem I have is the nut using them doesn't know how to get them going off too often🙄
  8. Busy, busy mate, thanks for asking. Hoping to get an overnighter, on the estate lake over the holidays. 🤞 Be lucky
  9. Happy birthday chilly!! On top of the hill now! 😎
  10. Sad to hear it, we're all different & I just hope you hold fond memories of the good in him mate.
  11. I'm no expert, from personal experience it can be hard to relate, explain or burden, loved ones with your inner feelings. Yet a perfect stranger, that has no misgivings is a different matter & can be the desired tonic. I'm sure it wasn't personal stevo. Good for you ouchthathurt! Top man.
  12. I have a few different fox ones, very good alarms, nothing wrong with them, just don't look as good as my ATT's
  13. In no way whatsoever do I know difference this may make chemically, a fish farmer I know, swears by rock salt as an attraction. I tried it a few times with no success, but in theory wouldn't that alter the alkalinity of the surrounding water, whilst not providing much in the way of food source, hence your Bait would be present for any curious fish!! Just throwing it out there elmo
  14. Really thought provoking, heart warming conversation. We as men are assumed to be insensitive to the effects of life. Quite often turning to drink or drugs as a coping mechanism. I for one would like to see a thread like this continue for any member to air there woes. It is good to talk & most on here are very considerate in their responses. Respect guys👏
  15. I just did a bit of prebaiting ready for Friday night camping!! No signs of any fish, although I was only there about an hour.
  16. 🕒 🤞. We're on the edge of our seats buddy
  17. Shows the move was worth it mate. Sharpen up that hook and we'll see you in catch reports in the morning👍
  18. Keep an eye out for the 2 man twin skin. I've had mine 5 years, no problems whatsoever! Absolute steal at £200 new. They've stopped making them now😭 more expensive ones don't compare for condensation control. No need for the winter skin in summer, keeps the mozzies out and you can still see the stars.
  19. If you put them in an airtight bag they go into a sleep type state, take as much air out as poss, then just tip out what you want for the day in your Maggi box, they come around in a few minutes. keep the bag sealed. Not sure how long you can keep them like that, but I think they'll be good for about a week.
  20. Get on that Highy. I've wanted to get one, great way to find the fish on a big water, then using a hook or claw type thing drop the rig!! Excellent use of technology, some may say cheating, but it's an advancement of the Bait boats. I've noticed a few fisheries have banned them already, can't say as I can see why?
  21. Are you fishing snaggy waters Ian? There's yonny's write up and table showing stretch vs diameter /breaking strains on a thread from a few years ago, which is very useful. From that thread, I started using the GT HD. 15lb, superb line, none of the usual faults, that are common with other mono's. I used it on my previous syndi that had more Canadian weed than water, never had any issues. https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/gardner-gt-hd-mono-line?gclid=Cj0KCQjwt5zsBRD8ARIsAJfI4BhySYV1soidRliRKmfSJM0aaxQzD-t9DuHrCNGp8SzoEYu1Kg6vXCwaAqeYEALw_wcB
