I might be wrong, but wasn't there talk of them banning leisure fishing?? Urm!

The barbers, vape & phone repair shops, etc., are just a front, where the dodgy cash gets laundered. The war on drugs is a lost cause & successive governments are too stubborn to admit it. Instead of regulating and taxing it. I think its Portugal that tried this years ago. Guess what overall drug misuse dropped significantly. That's a win in my book What's this got to do with the Greens?

Oh dear! Do you read the mail? You mean it's sold there, not produced. So, it's not a mafia/gang making all the profits???π€
-
At least it would raise some much needed cash, instead giving that to foreign mafias π

Unfortunately, this type of scenario is played out in most sectors, there's nothing Great left in Britain. Apart from us dopes that pay our taxes and live by antiquated laws and processes πͺ

That worked wonders for council housing stock and affordable housing. What happened to the cash they raised?? I struggle to see much in the way of reinvestment. As I heard the other day, it's not a cost of living crisis, it's a cost of profits crisis

I don't know enough to get into, nor support, any particular party. The tories have just raped and pillaged our economy, (despite imposing austerity???) Whilst allowing their billionaire buddies to continual increase their profits at our expense. We need a complete clear out and start again with laws and legislation that try to keep up with the technological revolution we are all living in. Renationalise all of our services to non profit organisations and see where we are in a decade or two? Although I'll probably have departed by then. Sorry guys, not trying to get all political & that, but I don't use other media outlets.

& which party is going to da that Dave???

Times like that, I bet you wish you'd kept the boat?

Thinking of going to the BIG ONE at the weekend. Not sure, but thinking about getting 9-10FT Helicals, the 13's are bit too big fo the estate campaign.

Maybe try using a stringer, no problem

Beautiful fish, well earned buddyπ

I did start a thread on this back when I had a Yately ticket (& more than 3 people posted on hereπ€), must have been around 2018-19. My take away was scope baits seemed to catch slightly more commons, yellow was favoured, but not a given. Although, my mate did the lake record (Slate grey (along with a few named ones) with a yellow topped Cell snowman.

Targeted ads, I'm quite tempted by the cat!Although I can't see any l8nk on how to get my hands on it??? Weird

I thought it had a spot on the test crewπ

Same for the building game. Eastern Europeans working in London for peanuts, has meant my wages have stayed the same for the past 30 years. And yet every flipping thing else has at least doubled in that time

Nice 1 @ouchthathurt Looks like it's got mouth issues, similar to the little fella I had. It could barely get the pop up in its mouth

Syndi was shut due to flooding?? Estate lake water levels were high on Tuesday, calmed down a bit yesterday. Had a little pasty for my troubles

Welcome. Its a bit quiet lately, but there's a few good gents that have helped me out over the years. @elmoputney is all about bait atm

From what I understand,no new reservoirs have been built for around 40 years. Put that to the increase in population and demand, it's disgraceful that our most precious resource has been run for profit of investors. 6 days without water. Apparently due to a storm preventing sufficient treatment, along with the frost causing pipes to leak. Strange how weather is all of a sudden an issue?? They'd of blamed Bexit if they thought we'd believe it

Still no flipping water

We need a change at the top, unfortunately, it would appear Labour are our best option , but the mainstream press (as always) seem to turn the majority of sheeple against them??? After the mess the Boris crowd left it's going to take quite a few years, not months. Starma might not be charismatic, but we don't need that. Someone with their head screwed on who will put the people first, not the big corporations.

Friday night mate. Don't get me wrong, I've not had it as hard as others. Im fortunate to have a 10000l pool in the garden, so buckets for flushing the loo. Water came on for a few hours yesterday but was very cloudy and chalky. We managed a shower and a few loads of washing. Ran out again by tea time. Easily collected bottled water yesterday.

As an update, still no running water. I do hope this won't effect the shareholders profits
