  1. Thanks mate. I already have those Korda sleeves and beads. I'll go with the leadcore. Probably get the ESP bulk spool in silt. Thats the stuff I used back in the day. Cheers. 👍
  2. Thanks Pal
  3. Thanks for your info mate. The reason I prefer a leader is that I dont trust line thats been on a spool for ages to sit flush on a deck like a leader. I fish braid when allowed and will always use a few feet of 25lb fluro as a leader. I've got to steam that leader straight before casting out to be happy. No need for steaming with leadcore or leadfree. It means I take less kit like stove ect... I purchased some Gardner Camflex Continental. Its easy to splice and looks the part. Does it really matter if it still sinks without lead? Chèers Luke
  4. Hi, I just got a ticket on a new lake that allows leadcore and leadfree leaders. I fished with Leadcore about 15 years ago, My set up is a hinge rig helicopter style. What's your preference if you could use both? Cheers Luke
  5. Thanks mate
  6. Hi, Has anyone used these in a size 8 on the business end of a rig? I've used them in size 11's, but 8's look a little blatant because of their shine. I don't get on with putty, not sure if i'm best off with a standard size 8 swivel or are these size 8 PTFE swivels that are meant to spin better elite and I'm over thinking it. Cheers fellas.
  7. Thanks for the detailed info, it's much appreciated.
  8. Hello, Does anyone know if a finished 14mm cork ball pop rolled with a 10mm cork ball will hold up a hinge or chod rig? All the places I know that sell them only do them in 16mm. I was thinking about making my own and don't want to waste money on hardware if 14mm finished hook baits are not up for the job. Thanks
  9. Only 75p a pack on Total Fishing Tackle, ordered 35 packs to get the free shipping. bet that don't have them. https://www.total-fishing-tackle.com/avid-armorok-chod-hooks-barbed
  10. It makes sense to me now you've mentioned it. Thanks
  11. Hi Yonny, Thanks for the positive comments regarding Trent Shrimp. I've decided to go for it. I only hear praise for Trent and they've got those white cork balls back in stock at last Cheers for also sharing your common capture, what a creature!! Luke
  12. I like the Korda subline in 20lb, its over 0.4mm in diameter, not busted on me yet.
  13. Hello mate, Thanks for the detailed response, The Squid does smell good, funny how it's only us anglers that appreciate the smell, my mrs says it stinks! lol!! I've got some shrimp in shelf life, do you use shelf life exclusively now? I've dabbled with them in the past. lost one on my last outing after baiting with Trent Shrimp shelf life only. Trent said about mixing both but that fried my brain even more, I only like to use one boilie. With a quality name like SAS (who dares wins) makes me think it will be the squid. Lets see, its a biggie for me changing. Thanks again pal. Its much appreciated!
  14. Hi, Has anyone done well on Trent SAS Squid? I purchased a kilo of each SAS Squid, Shrimp and matching cork ball pop ups. They both look and smell amazing, I'm torn between the 2 and am looking to bulk buy soon. I see online lots of folk rate the shrimp, not much info on the SAS squid. Squid flavoured baits do well on my lake, but shrimp sounds like it can't be ignored. Thanks Luke
  15. Thanks for the heads up!
