  1. Just watched how to. Genius! I was wondering where I was going to get the Twig from??? No need now. Cheers Kev.
  2. I dont understand why that is? Surely a barbed hook should have more damage to a fishes mouth than spring loaded rig??? This element which apparently sets the hook nicely, would be better than damage that may be caused when the fish try to eject a standard rig? I'll try it on 1 rod until I'm told I can't.. Ali appeared genuine about this bit of kit, from what I could tell. Don't know him from Adam, but from the underwater footage, it would appear to be a game changer imo.
  3. Looks worth a try. I heard its been banned on a few waters already. Not sure why??
  4. It would appear on some waters it would be easier to catch a bird, than a carp😄
  5. @salokcinnodrog Nick is @welder a mod? I know he was keen to go with his son. Is there anyway of reaching out to him? Thanks
  6. I know what you mean. I have turned fish on by using the gardener rake. They come in within 5 minutes on smaller waters. I've tried this numerous times on the reservoir ticket and had nothing at all. Zigs, bottom baits they stay away🤯
  7. I have a feeling its nuisance species. No crays on the res that I know of. Its a bit frustrating when I've sat behind the rod for a good few hours. 12-24 if I know my traps are set ok. The Biomass was well above average last year. The pike and perch have done well, with no cats, zander or sturgeon. Hard hookbaits for the snowman, usually come back in ok. Just no carp on the end since last year. Looking forward to the social where hopefully have a chance if a few fish in front of me🫰🙏
  8. Happens to me sometimes. Never really a particular hook bait, but always on a snowman??? The pop is always fine
  9. Sounds like you should book onto the social in September!!! If I don't book my fishing in, it'd never happen. I believe we all need our relaxation time.
  10. C'mon Nick. As far as english carp fishing goes, a wrap is generally considered 12ft. Not metric measurements. Same as weigh our fish in pounds and ounces, not kilos. We dipped our toe into European measurements, but unfortunately it's the British way to do things the hard way. God save the pound! I mean Queen. Oops I meant King 🤴
  11. @chillfactor @welder @kevtaylor If you guys are in (welder +1) that leaves one space? Thanks gents
  12. Glad to be out. Loads of BS at work & family, so feels a real tonic to be here
  13. I suggest by the end of the week for this venue. Or, look into Horsehoe .? The M25 onevis very easy for me. I'd just be happy to get it booked ASAP.
  14. Good shout Chill I'm sure we have friends on the forum that know the guys there. I'd enjoy a trip there for sure
  15. I gave up pre pandemic. If we haven't heard by the weekend, may I suggest we find an alternative??
  16. At least the shop wasn't affected... I thought it was shut down for good
  17. Nice one Kev. What a session, I bet you're grinning from ear to ear?? Well done fella
  18. Where does the time go??? I go through the diary with her indoors and book fishing weekends for the next few months. If I didn't, I wouldn't get out either.
