  1. If it works, I'll have to nick a bit of that😉

I only get to go every now and then, so wouldn't know for sure. It worked for me on 2 very weedy waters. I know a few fish farmers who swear by it for clearing the silt and carp off the deck. The fish love it and tear up the weeds. We used on my mates little 2 acre pond in one swim that was full of Canadian and 4"of silt, within several weeks it was hard bottom and lilly pads came up which he'd never seen there before. He'd tried dye, weed cutters, hand balling it, nothing worked like it. Effortless
  3. We can't help having a bulky build mate, 8-10 stone would be fine on these type of beds. This one is in the running https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235391171203?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8py9PnHURjO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=yW-jXGLIRqK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  4. Thanks Nick. With my bulk I really want an 8 leg one.

If you can go secret squirrel, try hydrated lime several pva bags and in a several weeks those spots will be clear as a dinner plate.. Just keep it subtle though, as has been said, other anglers will soon be on your spots
  6. I've got a back up cheapy. I'd be happy with any common over 28lb🤩
  7. Thanks @jh92 I'm undecided ATM, I'll be in touch.
  8. As you may be able to guess, I'm in need of a new bedchair. Cheap ones below £100 don't tend to be much good in my limited experience. Being just a lot over weight, I need an 8 leg decent quality bed. But, at £450 + I'm struggling to justify that amount This is just blatant Carp tax & exploitation, as with nearly everything else these days, I feel I'm being ripped off.😏 I'd be happy to pay around £200-250ish, but the choices are very limited. Just wondered if anyone has any suggestions? Ta
  9. New axle support and puncture proof tyre for the carp porter. Got nicked a few year years back with a load of gear. Got a feeling I may need it early March.
  10. I've had a few over the years, but found the Ridgemonkey to be fairly good and seems to charge as well, if not quicker than mains
  11. Superb location Great if you've got the place to yourself
  12. Good luck @jh92 Looks like a mud bath
  13. It's Southern Water, so I don't expect they'd give a carp. The old guy running the fishing side, has retired & this wally has taken over the last 2 seasons. I'm in 2 minds, but my heart is saying leave.
  14. I know exactly what you mean. My ticket is a 300 acre res (when full) & is said to hold a few 50+, with the average high 20 early 30. I've only had a 24lb common and PB 36 mirror 8n the past few years since C19. Every time I go somewhere else, I think why am I here it's a puddle. Only problem is the new head bailiff is a complete bar steward. Makes up loads of rules (which are not on my list of rules when I joined i must add), the last 6 visits have resulted in disagreements, on interpretation of his word (& BS rulemaking). This weekend, all set up with my youngest son (9), he comes along & protests he's (my son) not insured to be in the boat?? So have to pack up early and my son is broken hearted after waiting in the car, while I go over and pack up... STRANGE!! The year before was almost no problem with my eldest son (12) , apart from he thought we had 2 people and all set up in 1 boat. Soon put him straight, only extra bed chair and crisis averted. I will not renew next year, which is gutting, but I just can't stand power ego bailiffs (reason I gave up my ticket at Yately Car Park). Currently feeling upset & need of a decent new syndicate with a few beauties to go for. Im loooking forward to exclusive members do in March🤞
  15. I suppose when you put it like that..... I quite fancy Binghams in Thailand for that big carp red letter trip. An Aripima would be very welcome.

  17. I totally agree @framey their not doing it for the fishes benefit. Elphics comes to mind and I remember someone on here saying, in those type of venues, it's like fishing for puddle pigs. Not my bag either
  18. I saw this a few weeks back. He's copied a Koi farmers method of growing them on. I think I also saw that they recently put a 60 in Monument 1. A friend was going to join RH but £1500 is a bit steep
  19. From what I can tell, I think he had caught a rudd on sweetcorn & the size 6 hook was enough to catch it. He swares he caught it on sweetcorn 😆
  20. My nine year old caught this while fishing a small farm pond, several weeks ago😍 whilst with his mate. He won't forget that one. He says it felt stuck so he just pulled harder😉 Size 6 hook in it's mouth.!!!! I have tried a couple of times to recatch it and weigh it, but only seem to get the small ones.
  21. Winter ticket for a local club water, as my eldest son wants to catch a barbel. Magic wand (I'll take any edge for the res) Lock hook size 4 Pva tape Came with a nice thankyou postcard, from Ali.
  22. Yep🫰 & my 9 year old son who has the bug atm. Frost Friday night and rain all day Saturday. Hopefully dry on Sunday for the arduous pack up
  23. Kids - vids Spellchecker🙄 and no edit button anymore?
  24. I came across this the other day. Some of his other vids are really good too. Short n sweet. Not plugging any gimmicks as far as I could tell, which puts me off alot of these youtubers.
