  1. New leisure battery for the motor. Turns out it was that was nackered, not the motor. Fuming!
  2. I'm told it's 2 miles from sailing club to the out of bounds swim.
  3. New motor turned up today. A bit gutted I couldn't get the 68lb thrust. Seemingly out of stock everywhere (typical!) Battery connections aren't great on their battery box
  4. Good luck @Highy Ha, ha. A friends 12 year old son had a 33lber last weekend, out the reservoir. Smashing his 15lb, previous. Also, 2lb more than my mates. I'm hoping to get out next weekend.
  5. 55lb thrust Bison electric outboard motor, with Bison 12v battery unit. Previous one gave up after just 2 years of occasional use., out of warranty 😔
  6. Nope! It would be nice to get it confirmed and paid for. Perhaps the new Carp.com shop would provide a few prizes for top rod & biggest fish🫣
  7. Air bnb. West Wellow. I can't remember the name of the farm. You can only put 2 rods out really,it's very narrow channel, with day ticket fishing on the other side of the channel. It's OK for a run, nothing massive in there, go to 30lb odd. There's another one that has a bait shop nearby. Again I can't remember the name. But looked OK.
  8. I think for 3 rods it was around £40 Nice to see another one of the government agencies are helping out in the cost of living crisis????
  9. That's tough. I always invite my boys, but they're just not interested. When they do, it's only for an hour and then they get bored?? I hope when they get a bit older they will come, but the alone time is also important. So, I wouldn't take them every time😉
  10. Trying out my new rods for the first time. They're a lot stiffer than what I'm used to, but definitely getting more distance. 🤞
  11. Don't know him. Seen a video he did on my syndicate, before i joined, as it was the only thing i could findonline about the place.. Very average. He got banned the year after I joined, so he must be a wally, as the team there are very easy going. That said, they haven't let other well known celeb anglers join, since. So, I guess they don't want that type of publicity.
  12. Bring back Carpmachine!!! Always great content and good for a laugh
  13. Do we get members discount???😘
  14. All packed and ready for action.... In June😭
  15. Well chuffed with my new free-spirit Helicals. May have to nip down the water tomorrow for a few casts.
  16. Yes mate, my only ticket is the reservoir. More often than not I don't use the boat once I'm in the swim, so nice to put one or two at distance. At 100 yds it's around 8-10ft, 120-40 yds it 12 -16 ft. I do need to get some pit reels, but everything seems to be breaking for me too. Just had to get a loan for a new motor myself. Painful!
  17. Good luck gents. Wishing I was fishing😭 Not out until first weekend of June. On the the upside, finally collected my free spirit Helical 13 ft rods today. They look very nice for the money, super lightweight. I'll set up my reels and take a pic tomorrow.
  18. The things we do in search of the next nice carp. The reservoir I fish is full of water atm, we cant launch from the sailing club, so have to barrow several loads through loads of mud to get to the boats. My average time from the load up until being all set up is around 5 hours??? Crazy. Considering it's only 30 minutes away from home. Enjoy and good luck mate.
  19. With the holes drilled out, they are pretty much anyway. They busted the lock on one & put a massive scratch down the panel. The van that's been done twice just had stuff moved around. I'm tempted to sit in the back & wait for them☠️
  20. You were right mate! What a beauty! Well done sir👏
  21. Im really, really annoyed by petty crime, again.🤮 I've got 2 vans, both have been broken into by drilling holes in the sidedoor panel where the latch is. First time they took 3 cordless tool around £400 new. Damage to the doors at £1k. This week, they damaged the latch so couldn't get in?? Estimate £1.5K. The tools we use are only around £7-800, so not worth insuring due to £500 excess. Same for the damage caused, not worth claiming for!! Quote for dead locks £500 each van. So for a these parasites looking for an easy score it's cost me around £3k😭😭😭 Not a happy chappy
  22. Same @dalej2014. Must of been hacked, or whatever it's called nowadays. @elmoputneyany news on paying for this pal? At least if we're paid up, we know it's a done deal.
