  1. We tend to use a 42 inch (106cm) net over here for carp fishing. It's the pole for the net I was advising you to try. The greys one is quite stiff. The Trakker one broke on the spigot within a few outings!! Not happy about thatπŸ˜’
  2. The only form of marker float I use is my fishspy. ( yes I know you don't like it yonny) but, it's not been out for a while. But it has it's place in my arsenal. I'm with you elmo, bait out in the general area, I feel is less likely to spook or warn fish, that there is a trap waiting for them. Saying that, I know some guys do very well with kilos dumped out of their Bait boat. Although you'd be surprised how much the bait spreads out on the way down (underwater footage) even the tightest spombing will spread out quite a bit. I suppose it's down to personal preference/confidence . I'm confident in a good spread, generally put out by hand or with my catapult. 7-9 freebies in a pva stocking on the hook.
  3. The one's I use, had them for several years. Air dry after use. Very impressed with them. I brought the net from Yately angling centre for about £80-90. Nice stiff pole, worth going into the shop to test, down to preference if you like it hard or soft😜
  4. I use this almost every time I fish now. Many benefits in its use. Especially the fact the fish seem to turn up after 10-15 minutes to see what's been going on!! πŸ˜‰
  5. Hi Dayvid, I was down you neck of the woods today. Going along m27 past rownhams. Broadlands looks to of burst its banks, they must be gutted and likely to loose a good few fish!! Real shame to see
  6. How do you get on with the chunky tire Ian??
  7. Agree, the only brand in fishing I will avoid, high price for very low grade quality. The few items I've brought didn't last very long and were soon binned. Poor response from customer service too.
  8. Prestige mk2, my mates had one about 10 years. Mine is about 5 years, out in all weather's, & still as good as new. Another mate got the fat boy version and the chunky tyre is no good if the terrain isnt flat. He even dropped it on the first outing. 🀣🀣🀣 So I'd advise the skinny tyre, to go anywhere. I load it right up and its very well balanced, if you keep the heavier items low in the packing process. I keep meaning to change the tyre for a rubber one as it does go flat from time to time. I think I paid around £80-90.
  9. Yep, got it in 10 lb. Still waiting for the red letter day on zigs to come though. I plan to perserver with them!!
  10. I prefer a 3 turn blood knot, tightened up with pulling tools, never had a slip. The guy doing a demo at the show when I started used a simple look knot!! It's quite a stiff material, so the usual 5 turns isn't necessary.
  11. Excellent choice mate! I only use their hooklink material. Hydro link is the dogs!! No need for steaming with the fluro, just pull it into the desired shape of your chod. You can't go wrong with it IMO!
  12. Me too! Be lucky Finchley, the weather's looking good for bite🀞
  13. You lucky bar steward. Get in mate, keep em comingπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  14. Best wishes one and all!!
  15. On the very rare occasion mine go off, I haven't noticed a delay, and I've been right on my rods. Have you seen any of the underwater films?? There is always a bit of delay from the fish taking the Bait to the alarm sounding.
  16. I got the energizer one's. Seem OK so far! Like I said before they only seem to to go off when I set up and pack away. πŸ˜”
  17. Is it twin skin with the mozzy net on each internal section?? Bargain
  18. Mine are tight but at least I know they won't fall out in the fishing bag. Sometimes I screw a bankstick on to pull them out. Same my receiver has gone tacky, not too sure why, I made the mistake of trying to clean it with a baby wipe. Now it's gone fluffy. I'd be interested in seeing the case you get Highy
  19. It's a yes from me!! πŸ‘ Got mine a few years ago with the updated snag rest, so no need for ugly snag ears. Changed the rollers to 4 mag, sticky receiver case, but very very very pleased with how they look. The biggest problem I have is the nut using them doesn't know how to get them going off too oftenπŸ™„
  20. Busy, busy mate, thanks for asking. Hoping to get an overnighter, on the estate lake over the holidays. 🀞 Be lucky
  21. Happy birthday chilly!! On top of the hill now! 😎
  22. Sad to hear it, we're all different & I just hope you hold fond memories of the good in him mate.
  23. I'm no expert, from personal experience it can be hard to relate, explain or burden, loved ones with your inner feelings. Yet a perfect stranger, that has no misgivings is a different matter & can be the desired tonic. I'm sure it wasn't personal stevo. Good for you ouchthathurt! Top man.
  24. I have a few different fox ones, very good alarms, nothing wrong with them, just don't look as good as my ATT's
  25. In no way whatsoever do I know difference this may make chemically, a fish farmer I know, swears by rock salt as an attraction. I tried it a few times with no success, but in theory wouldn't that alter the alkalinity of the surrounding water, whilst not providing much in the way of food source, hence your Bait would be present for any curious fish!! Just throwing it out there elmo
