Bait loop, kd type knot and shot where fluro stops to anchor the boom section, only knot at hook and swivel at lead.

Yep. I think it's COVID related in the fact it's only one person per boat, so I'm guessing the regulars got first look in, for the outboards. Not sure about storage! I can fit it in my extra long wheelbase van easily enough. My mate can't drive so that's 2 of everything we now need, due to COVID regsπππ. I've got to make my own coffee now!! I'm looking at possibly getting a little rib too! No point in having a motor with nothing to put it on!

I've been twice prebaiting. The weed is as you say Nick. I have put a bit of bait on obvious clear spots. Went to book my boat safety course to be told I now need to buy a small electric motor and leisure battery!! Blinking annoying and quite costly! π

Will do mate, it's almost time to wrestle the gear out the back of my lock up. Next Friday I'll be on the bank & try to detail it. Honestly so easy, all you need to do tie the hook and to the swivel. I've found a link, it mentions a video that may make it clear. Hydrolink https://www.rigmarole.co.uk/products/end-tackle-accessories/hooklinks

It's braid over fluro, so you pull back the braid, cut the fluro and pull the braid back, to form the supple hook length!! Idiot proof (yes I am) & simple (just how I like things to be). Their fluro will pull straight, so no need for steaming it straight, another unique benefit. P. S. I don't work for themπ

I love my Combi type rig, acting very much like a HSR, with shot where the fluro stops and braid starts. Hydrolink by rigmarole is the dogs! My preferred in line leads are below, I've always landed a bite from them. It gives the centre of gravity effect. I stopped using bags after watching underwater 7 & 8. I always put a few freebies in pva mesh, done in seconds. Gives the effect of a stringer, at a fraction of the time!

Definitely, excellent hook holds. Like yonny I will always show the file to the point. Kamakuras, imo, are filed too much, ie making them brittle and prone to bending or opening up!! The resi doesn't allow curved hooks so I'm going to be using a bit of Shrink tube on fox wide gapes for the foreseeable

Yep, it all adds to the intrigue of the place. Apparently a few 30's came out last night! Good signs. I just hope they are still feeding in a fortnight ππ€ππ€

Nice one dayvid, being delivered 10th June πππ

Yes, but I met the head bailiff last week and not many people use them. A tight bed of hemp works, but no other bait. It's better to have a good spread of bait. I thought the GPS, could be handy, but the levels do change. Apparently if you fish at 100 yds now., you'd have your bivvy set up on that spot by the end of the summer!! They have their own boats so I don't think I could take my own, if I had one.

Not yet mate. I need to buy a life jacket first. Had a quick look online this week, not a lot of choice really and the ones I liked were out of stock π. Or quite expensive π³ this new venue is starting to cost a few quid. I'm just going to have to build up my kit over time.

Thanks nick. I'm looking for features. I have joined with a good mate, so fishing the bays is possible but not covering a lot of water. The bays look good, there's a few overhangs by the car park bay, which doesn't look like many anglers bother with, but I may try to get a few baits in. As you suggested, I always believe fish will patrol the inlet areas at some point. So that is an easy acces, starting point in a couple of weeks if I don't manage to do the boat safety induction. I popped in today, fired out some bait. There is a lot of water to learn about!!

Hats off for effort with photoshop mate! I wouldn't have a clue! Suely if you turned it into an inline, the line would snag on the washer? Or am I missing something?? I've ordered some, so I'll let you know how they perform. 19th I'm doing my first 48.

As above, perfect hook holds, with both bottom and balanced baits. Combi, hinged stiff type rig. I'd happily put it out on most spots! Part of the puzzle of fishing is in fine tuning your approach to appreciate the rewards! Do you bucket test your rigs?? I find it very useful to see how the bait sits and more importantly how the hook reacts when you lift the bait. The smallest of changes can be the key to success.

I've gone in the loft for an old water tank, stop valve ball. The bailiff was using one and said you'd struggle to see a normal marker float! I assume it's always quite choppy on the surface of the open water. Point taken about the sea leads. I'm on the case for some large washers.

Apologies carpepecheur. I will look into the washer system. The rules state no form of backlead, but I plan to wrap putty around a sinker to achieve what you have shown. Thanks buddy π

I think so, I'll find out all the do's & dont's on the induction. 70 odd ft in the middle. So yep very long!! There was a chop on the water yesterday, causing discolouration 4-6ft from the bank, weed was visible, looks really clear. The bailiff said the light doesn't go much deeper than 18-20 ft, so the weed cannot grow. He's caught from the depths, to prove a point, but said its not easy.

Β£8 a day or Β£15 from Friday to Sunday! They have little electric outboards. Definitely a new era in my fishing experience!
