  1. White vane as far as I know has KHV, so give a wide berth. Never heard of woodmere?? Plenty of good syndicates in the area
  2. I brought one of these instead of a telescopic rod. Sorry it's a dated version but they do a newer Tribal version in 4 piece https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313680510015?hash=item4908d0bc3f:g:ZqQAAOSwvvhhJPyb Great bit of kit, fits nicely into a suitcase. I've had various size shimano reels on it, but go with the 10000 bait runners for a nice balance
  3. Imo if it snaps between two pulling tools, it will definitely snap with an angry 20+. I do pull to near destruction for my own piece of mind. 3 turn blood knot on fluro hook link. Often I find different knots snap depending on the line material, so I keep trying different knots until I am happy that they won't give up on me I would put it under a lot more tension than most carp, I do still test them You get them in mate, so do what your comfortable with, it works for you.
  4. If I can pull a rig apart, then it is not good enough. Agreed a 20lb+ fish will easily do the same. Not fish safe, if the hook link will be left in its mouth. I test each and every rig to near destruction.
  5. Rigmarole do some good hook link material.
  6. I'm not on facegram, but will get the missus to have a look. Thanks
  7. Ice pack and lay flat my mate. Not nice, hope you are able to make it to the bank at some point
  8. Every neighbours I've seen was woke up by him, peanut👌
  9. Since when is it acceptable for a delivery driver to be hashing up turning around and having to listen to the reverse beeping for over 5 minutes, at 7.40 on a Sunday morning?? When I had had enough and went to see why, I was told foff!! I then felt the need to find out who he worked for and got offered out!! Even a guy I know in the next street down came and asked what was going on Now I not religious but these deliveries are hardly essential at that time on the weekend. Team know how! Know how to make it impossible to send a complaint. I'm registered to some American website and have warned loyalty points just to send them my complaint 🙄🤯

  11. I had a little play the other weekend. No fish, but it was slow due to poor water quality. Something that looks so simple is actually tricky to get right. I had to tie a few before I was happy to put it out. What knot do you use to tie the hook carpepecheur? I don't often use Palomar knots, and didn't like the way it presented, so ended up with a queen blood knot. I used a wafter as referenced above, but found it moved along the hooklink upon return. So tied a figure of eight knot to help keep it in position. I will persevere with it on one rod next time out. (whenever that may be🙄)
  12. From your responses, it would appear that you are untying the loops, Y? I use your described method and have never had any trouble. I do use 50lb leader, but I guess thinner braid would slip. Have you tried doubling (figure of 8) the smaller loop? It shouldn't slip then. I have that smaller loop at about 30-40mm as a tag.

Well I managed a quick overnighter at an estate lake. My van wasn't fixed in time😭 Water quality was really bad, they canceled the swimming of a triathlon there. My mate had a pasty and I had a bin lid. Gutted to miss the opportunity of 3 nights at the Res.

  15. Not often the national team do that well, so probably worth the sacrifice mate.
  16. I've got the jrc 2 man, can get a bit tight for space with 2 bed chairs though. Good quality. Had it 7years,bit of fabsil treatment and it has served me well so far
  17. Get on that mate, they'll be looking for food in an hour or two
  18. Or load the spare spool with the other reel. One of mine does it, as above it sorts itself out with use to a degree
  19. I have to say it looks to good to be true. The video however perfectly illustrated your point (excuse unintended pun). I too will have a try, nice one carpepecheur. Perhaps, you could think of a snappier name, if you plan on going mainstream with it though😉
  20. My mates one finally went last trip, he's had it about 5 years, so lasted well. My mk2 wheel is 8 years old, never had a puncture but does need pumping up every now and then. As before, makes getting all your kit to the bank a lot more comfortable. Enjoy mate
  21. The big problem I noticed with the fat boy is the big chunky wheel, great on nice flat ground. Not so much on uneven paths, I have had a few good laughs watching my mate tip over and giving up, then carrying all his gear. He even did it at linear first time out and the ground wasn't too bad. Imo change it for the skinny puncture proof wheel and you'll have a grwat barrow that can go anywhere.

Few new nights on the bank. No fish, bit gutted but the 3 other anglers blanked too, so not too beaten about it. Enjoyed the trip. Amazing pics from drone out last night

I'd like the flat at the end there, just imagine fishing out your front room window 🤯
