  1. Only a suggestion, have you tried a completely different bait to target the bigger ones? Sometimes a small hook bait can catch the bigger fish Tigers? Corn? My old favorite, a matchbox size lump of luncheon meat in armor mesh. (you may get the odd predator take that though, had a decent pike out of yately on that & a 22lb stocky) It's all part of the puzzle you have to get your head round. By the way, I presume that there is larger carp in there & your not just catching the average stamp? Sorry if that is a stupid question
  2. Have you tried 2 x 18-22mm n the hair? I've found that reduces takes from the smaller ones.
  3. Really, how's that working out for you? 90% of Corben's policies everyone would agree with. Tell them it's Corben's policy and they backtrack?? Personally I have had enough of being taxed to the eyeballs & for what?? Where does it all go?? I would ask anyone to name any public service that has improved in recent decades? NHS? Police and rescue services? Inland revenue? Education? Roads? Energy and fuel? & the one that sickens my stomach our beloved coastlines and waterways 😤🤬 C'mon sheeple, it takes the masses to effect change! (sorry if that sounds like I'm on a soapbox) & I'm only registered, not involved) ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!
  4. This proves my point! I'm so sorry mate. Please, please verify the media source. Do you believe that tripe!! As Elmo said, he met these people to try and achieve peace😔 The majority of his policies would of benefitted the majority of the country. Right wing media waged the biggest media war on him, to be unelectable. So as, not to see their huge profits being taxed. Yes, but it's people that don't vote, that has allowed our country to be run into the ground. Vote green, lib dem or raving looney party. Any way to get a change. I see this thread being deleted, but this is my only social media outlet, so I hope not
  5. Yep, New New Labour won't even be seen on picket lines?? The majority of the political system is corrupt and outdated. Not acting in the best interests of the people?? Other successful countries have coalitions. But, look at how that went with Labour and the liberals 😭
  6. Well said mate. Sad thing is, there are too many lemmings that vote for them, I'm not sure this situation will ever change 😤 By rights most of the Tories would be in jail, if they had ripped off a big corporation, instead of our country. But no, they'll get made lords and paid off big fat pensions🤯
  7. Me too mate. Seems as though it's fishing only! Same response to my 'enough is enough' post, still I'm sure the Tories will do their very best for the people of country 😔
  8. Welcome. Plenty of useful information on here. Enjoy mate
  9. God save the King! Seems weird. RIP Liz
  10. Enticing ads are back🤓 I was thinking the mods had turned the filters on. I used to get great ads
  11. It's about time we brought our country & how it is governed, into 2022 & the elite are held to account for the years of having us all over. & letting their mates dump raw sewage into rivers and coastline😭🤮 I've had enough of being shafted out of my hard earned
  12. I haven't been hacked. I've just had enough https://wesayenough.co.uk/
  13. Under rated/used bait. But absolute classic! Chop em up and stick them in your with your freebies mate
  14. I found an old worm liquid from dynamite. That's been in the garage for ages, so thought it may as well go on the cell and bannoffee. I found some hemp n pellets too, but I've found anything other than boilies @ the reservoir will result in bream😢 Good luck Highy
  15. Green light for 48! Im hoping with low water levels I stand half a chance of getting a fish 🤞 Bait is glugged. Van is packed. Feeling confident!
  16. I've turned down the green light for a 48 hr this weekend. Keeping it in reserve for the autumn. 35+ at the weekend, it's a hard enough water, no chance of a fish imo, I'll be in the pool.
  17. They look like a good idea, so I tried them, lost my only take at the rest I've been on, so in the bin now 😔
  18. Same as regards cheap ones. don't bother. As you say, some named brands are eye-watering prices. Cygnet are very reasonably priced. I have bank sticks, buzz bars and distance sticks, no complaints from me.
  19. My res, it's nearly 2 miles away, have to put the front on my bivvy when I need a carp
  20. Trekker,£75, lasted 3 trips ( various other items from this firm, dog do, do, imo.) Greys, £70, lasted just over a year Sonik Vader X, still going £45 over 4 years. Recently, 2 Sonik STR 3.75 Tc both snapped after 7 years ( I don't go more than once a month and fish rock hard waters, so not exactly pulling them in. Sonik spod rod, top eye ring fell out within a month. No joy n return as brought from online stores & Eric's tackle. No response from Sonik?? I seem to live by the law of the sod! Landing net seems good for the money though, 2 piece, so good for stalking the margins in theory?
  21. I've never liked the look of these type of cookers/stoves, far too small, prone to going over. With my dinner in, no, no! Camping gas stove, comfortably takes my fryng pan. Millets shop today, £12 for 8 cans of gas. That will see me through the rest of the year.
  22. My mate J st got the jrc contact. 2 man, small bag and very light for the size. £150 you can't go wrong imo
  23. I would, I use a 50lb shock leader, after cracking off. Its never happened since. Great, simple knot for quick change.
  24. I often had to see a chiropractor, he used the one of these, or similar. Best £140 I've ever spent, better if you can get the missus or someone to do it, while you lay flat
  25. I think he's been banned. Say no more😶
