Couldn’t get him home after that , he wanted to stay all night ffs 🤦🏼‍♂️ I missed the first ten minutes of the West Ham game 🙄 Now he’s nagging me to go again .. today . well I told him that ain’t happening but we have a few maggots left so it looks like we’ll be going again tomorrow after his swimming lesson , another little afternoon evening sesh . what’s not to like eh ?

Then he pulled out a couple of little snottys and a few more little roach . He seemed to get a bit bored after a while and started wandering up and down the bank watching everyone else . Anyway after a while he sat back down , inspired I think by something he’d seen a couple of swims down . My Mrs stuck a few maggots on his little size 18 hook for him and he flicked it out . As it hit the water the tiny float disappeared. And didn’t come back . He yanked it back towards him and this … nearly yanked HIM in 🤣

Well yesterday was the day . We took TJ to Puddledock farm fishery , a local hole in the ground . In the first few minutes he whipped out a couple of little Roach 😊

The sound of the alarms made me smile 😂

Fredrick update. Coming along nice and steady very friendly and soft with us and most other people not keen on blokes who look like they are just out without any reason not a bad thing he just chuffs at them, will let complete strangers handle him the lady in the pet shop fitted him a harness he was more than happy. other dogs, not as interested as he was a week ago, although he did try to batter a dalmation up the woods the other night, nothing major, the dog was off lead and went to approach mine but the other guy made a meal out of getting his dog on lead and stopping in a narrow gap of the path, bit of a clash when passing, the problem is my dog will go into cry and it can be a bit intimidating for other dogs. he is much better than he was and takes verbal commands to stop and stuff no treats needed just good boys. works every time. little swimming lesson just incase. I am using a mix of two baits this year one a milk protien that has a subtle fruit flavour, and loads of goodies in it, and a fishmeal that has no flavour but smells a bit like cat food or something, I used them both for a year each and both did me proud, so my thinking this year I will catch twice as much 😂 I do think the black pepper oil would be a good addition to the fishmeal though 🤔

Best bait I've used was completely un-flavoured, just salmon oil, eggs and Aminos basemix, forgot to add flavours but the fish seemed to love them more, much more in fact, what a session that was!

1- A decent pop up rig (I use spinners and hinges depending on the substrate). 2 - A decent bottom bait rig (I use a simple D rig). 3 - Zigs.

the one slight niggle with fred, and he only does it with me, face biting lol very gentle with it then again all terriers can be face biters Dave from the trust had a serious potential for it, i don't mind working with it so long as it's done like puppy play, little git. I don't think he has bonded before with a human, he won't leave my side he was covered in sweets when i got him stuck in his fur. got him sitting and staying, goes to his bed when told and is starting to recall, all since saturday.

If you look at the bottom of the pic you can see an artist painting the sunset using a easel her painting was a lot better than my pic. We had a picnic a good drink and a bit of a laugh which she said she needed.
