Hi Ian, I hope you are well. In my hiatus, I went a bit off the rails and ended up going to university at the ripe old age of 27. Whilst there, an Albanian girl thought it would be a wise idea to hide my teaspoon (not a euphemism). Suffice to say that when she found her own teaspoon embedded into the centre of a hollowed out cucumber - again, not a euphemism - she realised she was dealing with a professional. She conceded immediately and I am now, in my own mind, the world champion.

I don't spitefully hang toilet roll incorrectly anymore. However, I have been known to turn a microwave upside down to see how long it takes people to realise - you'd be surprised at my results.

Although I'm becoming interested in carp fishing again, it seems that finding unkempt and underfished lakes is getting increasingly difficult which is making me hesitant. I suspect there is a few little unearthed gems on some cheap club tickets, especially given I don't really care about the size of the carp.

Some things just don't change.

Great. A degree in daftness.........🤣

buses tend to come in groups, just been offered another ticket closer to home on a up and coming water in north warwick ran by the local tackle shop in brum, had to turn it down due to getting on my dream complex the other day and spending up for this year, keeping me on the list for future reference, nice water think it opened a few years back that's three tickets offered in the last six months, definitely a slow down in anglers getting out regular, a lot seem to go for one or two long sessions a year on a top day ticket water, think the reality of of syndicate lakes is a bit much for some. the angling and pressure to catch the target fish can get to you as in have you questioning everything you are doing.  treat them like club waters and park lakes and it is a lot less pressure than trying catch the bigger carp you see in the pictures.

when you are sorting a bit of new tackle out and you hear the, oh you have had one of those before...yes petal. never been one for sneaking tackle into the kit but i've a feeling a deeper may turn up in the barrow bag at some point, never had one of them before.

Nice solid bit of kit still prefer the look of the fox one got that curve to the arms think they are all missing a trick be not adding a screw hole at either end of the two boss plates, think both jag and leeda do a pod with the peg point so not a massive bit of machining needed.

It's a very serious degree that I took very seriously, mate. I'm sure you'd expect nothing less from me. I definitely didn't submit a picture of Skeletor for an assessment for a pity mark of 10% because I couldn't be bothered to do the work!

Oh good. That's alright then, just so long as you took it seriously.

Hi Guys,

I've been having a thought on pairing the Boat with the Deeper.... Yeh I can buy the Arm/Cord... But I want to use what I've got at home....

I'm thinking of using a small fine drill bit to make a hole in the rear hopper of the boat. (below)

Then either, use some of my Spod braid and double / treble it over on its self with to figure 8 loop knots on either end about 2/3 ft long.... Korda Boom crimped on both ends, 1 end with a snal swivel and 1 end with a large loop to go through the hopper and back on its self?

I do have some Korda Safe Zone leaders too?

Thoughts please.

oh, if anyone sensible that lives in the rugby side of the midlands would like a introduction to a nice little water very quite and unheard of got some love fish, shout up and i will ping you the details over not sure on price but it's not silly money and more importantly it would a very good foot through the door to other lakes, can't guarantee there is still a ticket for this summer but the next winter ticket will be a deffo, that's open to anyone of any level of angling just so long as you are sensible that is all that is needed.

I probably wouldn't drill the hopper tbh just incase it split the plastic when in use or cracked it might make you lose it , could you tie it to the handle or something?

I'm having a few ponders at moment... Seeing how others have done there's without the arm.

I only use my Deeper with a boat. I attach it with a spare piece of 200lb mono tied to a clip which attaches to the handle.

I've just been to the park lake for a drive about on boat....

I did manage to make a hole in the rear hopper, did a loop through loop to attach to the hopper, used 35lb Korda Boom, Double Krimped on each end with some shrink tube over top, then a quick link at 1 end.

Done most of the Deep end, got 5.1ft at deepest in a hole, more or less all unison all over. Nothing out the ordinary, then went along the far margin under the trees..... Didn't see 1 fish either (visually and on deeper).

One point about attaching your Deeper to a boat is that, if you put your phone on the bait boat, you can go well beyond the range of the Deeper Wi-Fi.. This is useful on big waters.

When you are sailing your sounding lines, you get a much clearer and accurate picture if you try and steer them at right angles to anticipated contours. This would typically be at right angles to the bank rather than parallel to it.

Woooooow, don't think I'll be putting my phone into/onto my bait boat... 100yrds be maximum for me... Im getting a good signal so far, not lost any connection yet.

I did try some other features... Like using boat feature while deeper attached to boat... But don't think is as good.... Stick to Shore mode.
