  1. Got me paranoid now as well, was about to put my bait soaking but gonna buy some bottled water tomorrow and use that instead 🀣
  2. Got this beast for Β£2 from the boot sale a couple year ago lol, holds 15 or 20l I think
  3. Could do with a longboat to get all my bait out on my session next week 🀣 I've got 45kg dry particles to prepare, no idea what the weight is going to be once prepared, but only way to get it out is a spomb 🫀🀣
  4. I read it the other day, trying to find it again but no luck lol. Something to do with the water being pure without chemicals etc πŸ€” Never really noticed it myself, thanks for the advice if I do decide to do it I will try letting it sit before boiling but to be honest it all seems like a lot of faff. Probably will just use water straight from the kettle 🀣 Good point mate, I've always boiled it first then added it, only because my thinking is adding it in hot will help the particle absorb it better πŸ€”
  5. Just a quick question really, always used hot water from the kettle to soak my particles before boiling. I was reading something online about using mineral water instead of tap water. Any thoughts on this? All my particles have now arrived and it's time to start preparing them, wondering if I should try mineral water instead πŸ€” probably over thinking things again 🀣
  6. So just a little update, used it for the first time on yesterday's session, right out the box it was loaded with 63% of battery, so I used it without trying the panels, will set it up later today and see how it charges with them πŸ‘ The power pack itself is great, I charged my phone from roughly 15% to 85% twice and my vape from flat to full once, then charged the vape a again for a 2 bars, all its used is 10% of the battery. On my 5 day session starting next Sunday I will charge my laptop, phone and other stuff off it so will give another update then πŸ‘ Overall im really impressed so far 😎
  7. Could do with a trim mate it's gone a bit wild πŸ˜‚
  8. 23lb on the nose, felt like I hooked into a submarine πŸ˜‚
  9. It took out my other rod, caused absolute chaos.. sacked the fish so I could try and untangle my rig from the mainline only for it to go off as well while I had the line in my hands πŸ˜‚ sadly it bumped off πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
  10. Wait until the morning it will look like a bombs gone off πŸ˜‚
  11. It's the camera making them look so far away, probably 12ft - 15ft between and the rods lol
  12. Nash titan hide xl with the nash indulgence ss4 wide all set up, loads of room πŸ‘Œ
  13. Rods are out for 24 hours πŸ‘
  14. This is my issue on a pond I fish, the trees droop out over and getting a lead in under is a right pain, you can see the rigs in the trees where other people have attempted. I've had a feel by sending the marker lead right under with the boat and dragging it back slowly and never got snagged. It just makes life easier and the fish in that pond seem to spook easy so using the boat is a massive advantage to me lol. What are peoples thoughts on using baiting poles?
  15. Where do you draw the line though? You cast towards trees, rig ends up in the tree and snapped off leaving a baited rig/possible leader/line dangling from the tree which other wildlife could get caught in. Using a boat or even casting towards an island, fishing tight enough to it could result in the fish swimming into the roots and becoming snagged. I see using a boat as another tool in my inventory, and as long as you're using it responsibly I don't really see an issue.
  16. Nice catch report πŸ‘Œ just booked on a local lake for 24 hours tomorrow πŸ‘
  17. Yes, mine has caught me fish that I would of struggled getting to. A little pond I fish has an over grown island with trees hanging out over. I can send the boat out and get under the overhang, drop my rig and a couple handfuls of bait on over it with minimal disturbance. I also find it fun using it 🀣 My dad on the other hand.. "might as well chuck in a stick of dynamite" 🀣🀣
  18. People can get so touchy when it comes to carp fishing 🀣 @elmoputney are you using a tapered leader?
  19. Yeah mate, well I've ended up buying this - https://uk.iallpowers.com/collections/solar-generator-600w/products/allpowers-600w-solar-generator-100w-solar-panel-sp027 It's Β£449 but they are doing Β£50 off at checkout at the moment, also used a discount code and got it down to Β£314.30. I'll keep the thread updated on its performance, i do think the solar panels will be useful on long tripsπŸ‘
  20. I'm really tempted to buy the one I linked, 289 for the pack and solar panels included. Most of the reviews are good but don't know anyone with one lol Only thing I don't like about them is the price 🀣 I'm quite annoyed I seen the package, tv, and hook sharper for £300 on fb, but was sold before I even had the chance to message him 🀣 I'm tempted to take the gamble and buy the pack and panels for 289, if the pack fails in the future the panels work with multiple different packs and you can change stuff straight through the panels lol
  21. How do you find the wolf spod when using particles? Gonna pick up a few spombs for my next trip but might try a wolf spod as well πŸ€”
