  1. 18lb πŸ‘Œ not the best shot I had someone take the photo instead of being on the tripod, with that it hasn't focused on the fish properly. I'm still happy with it tho, it's a memory πŸ€™πŸ€£ I'm gonna put some pegs in the swim in a bit and have one where the tripod goes and one where the cradle will go. Should be able to keep everything pretty centered like that πŸ‘ it's a learning curve but I'm sure I'll get there πŸ‘
  2. Wicked mate, It's took a lot of googling (don't have a manual) but got it set to your settings, I've had a little go but realised I had the single point to the bottom right instead of the middle πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈanyway it should be good to go, will test when it stops raining πŸ‘ Wader shot using your settings Happy days πŸ€™
  3. Okay thanks mate πŸ‘
  4. Didn't even notice that mate 🀣 I've got a nikon d5000 with a af-s nikkor 18-105mm lens yeah its in auto mode mate, i don't have a clue what im doing, ive only just managed to work out how to use the intervalometer πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€£any help would be great thanks πŸ‘
  5. I will have a look and see what I can get πŸ‘ is 13ft a must? For the water I'm on at the moment I'm doing really well with big baits and I'd like to say I'm getting the bigger stamp of fish and avoiding the stockies and bream, so would like to keep things the same if I can πŸ‘ I will see what lines they in my tackle shop after my session and get something thinner πŸ‘
  6. 24lb 12oz, first time using my dslr, image quality is so clean lol
  7. Thanks for the replies, I expect fishing big snowman baits ain't helping either. I would like to fish up to 30 wraps. I will try changing mainline for the next session πŸ‘ Can anyone recommend some budget 3.5tc rods? I've been looking at the kiazen green rods, but heard they are the same blanks as daiwa black widows? I'd also be happy with second hand πŸ‘
  8. Off the mark with this one at 19lb 8oz. Wicked bite really, was having a brew watching some fish show to my right, 5 minutes later it went off πŸ€™

    New purchases

Hi mate I've got the temu version of the wolf spombs and they are wicked πŸ‘ they open pretty much every cast, I've only broke one but that was down to hitting a duck lol.
  10. My current setup is 3lb tc shimano tribal velocity rods paired with daiwa sportsmatic-x 5500, loaded with 15lb long chuck with a sublime tapered leader, I'm using 3.25oz - 3.5oz leads. I can get 25 wraps but I'm really to cast really hard to hit the clip, would it be worth going down to a braided shock leader as I'm sure it's the tapered leader hindering the cast as when there's a bit of side wind it starts pushing the lead with the wind and I lose distance? I'm looking at getting a set of 3.5lb tc rods for next year but is there any changes I can make while on the bank to make it a bit easier? I have a small spool of Gardner abrasion braided leader in 25lb but not if its likely to crack off? Any advice would be wicked πŸ‘

15kg of 20mm krill for next weeks session πŸ‘ @Higham1987 I have the stove you've got on order, wicked bit of kit πŸ‘ I use it with a little wind shield and it boils a kettle in a minute or two πŸ‘
  14. Think I would give it a miss to be honest mate, just another thing to question if I'm not catching 🀣 I do like these under water videos, I know they are mainly plugging products but you can learn a lot from the carps behaviour etc. I was having a chat with a different angler about the current video and was discussing about when one of the Carp literally turned 180 and bee lined to the pop up, we reckon it was done off vision and not smell if that makes sense. I don't understand this presentation, surely fishing this on a hard bottom will dramatically increase blunting your hook when you go to retrieve it?

Fishing is good for the soul 🀣
  16. Spend most of my time fishing in silt 🀣 very good point though, how effective would it be on a soft bottom? I don't fish in weed so can't really comment but assume it wouldn't be as effective? So if I was fishing a clean hard bottom could I add a shot to a bottom bait rig that's on a hair? Feel like I need to re watch it now 🀣🀣 I doubt I'll use it on the res I'm at anyway because finding a clean spot on there is like searching for rocking horse [censored] 🀣
  17. I watched the korda under water videos, was a good eye opener on how much we probably get done without knowing 🀣 I seen a few variations of the shot on the hook now, one where I'm the loop holding the shot can slide on the hook, the barb stops it sliding off, also seen in so you can fish a popup off a hair with the hook pulled down to the bottom. Only problem in my eyes is its gonna be prone to blunting the hook. I don't really mess with rigs, I still fish a hair rig blow back style, only adjustment I've made is its a loop to loop combi rig, I can whip the bottom hair rig loops up in seconds. My current loops are kurve shank size 4, large korda kicker, with a blowback ring, 20mm bottom bait, 16mm topper so it's sat snowman. I like about 5 - 10mm separation between the hook and bait. The bottom loops are looped onto a 6" stiff boom. I would normally fish a standard blow back rig with it stripped at the bottom but the loop to loop combis just make them quicker to tie, and the stiff boom section helps reduce tangles when fishing at range πŸ€™ Wonder how much the weighted hook beads will be when they hit the market 🀣
  18. Back on the res for a 48 hour, on the second night now and off the mark with this one πŸ‘ Hovering just over 25lb πŸ‘
