Hi mate I've got the temu version of the wolf spombs and they are wicked 👍 they open pretty much every cast, I've only broke one but that was down to hitting a duck lol.

My current setup is 3lb tc shimano tribal velocity rods paired with daiwa sportsmatic-x 5500, loaded with 15lb long chuck with a sublime tapered leader, I'm using 3.25oz - 3.5oz leads. I can get 25 wraps but I'm really to cast really hard to hit the clip, would it be worth going down to a braided shock leader as I'm sure it's the tapered leader hindering the cast as when there's a bit of side wind it starts pushing the lead with the wind and I lose distance? I'm looking at getting a set of 3.5lb tc rods for next year but is there any changes I can make while on the bank to make it a bit easier? I have a small spool of Gardner abrasion braided leader in 25lb but not if its likely to crack off? Any advice would be wicked 👍

I wouldn't be without my windshield now mate. Game changer 🤣 So 3 x 5kg bags of sticky krill in 20mm arrived today, only paid £84 for it, happy days 🤣 spomb rod gonna get a thrashing next week 🤙🤣

15kg of 20mm krill for next weeks session 👍 @Higham1987 I have the stove you've got on order, wicked bit of kit 👍 I use it with a little wind shield and it boils a kettle in a minute or two 👍

Think I would give it a miss to be honest mate, just another thing to question if I'm not catching 🤣 I do like these under water videos, I know they are mainly plugging products but you can learn a lot from the carps behaviour etc. I was having a chat with a different angler about the current video and was discussing about when one of the Carp literally turned 180 and bee lined to the pop up, we reckon it was done off vision and not smell if that makes sense. I don't understand this presentation, surely fishing this on a hard bottom will dramatically increase blunting your hook when you go to retrieve it?

Fishing is good for the soul 🤣

Spend most of my time fishing in silt 🤣 very good point though, how effective would it be on a soft bottom? I don't fish in weed so can't really comment but assume it wouldn't be as effective? So if I was fishing a clean hard bottom could I add a shot to a bottom bait rig that's on a hair? Feel like I need to re watch it now 🤣🤣 I doubt I'll use it on the res I'm at anyway because finding a clean spot on there is like searching for rocking horse [censored] 🤣

I watched the korda under water videos, was a good eye opener on how much we probably get done without knowing 🤣 I seen a few variations of the shot on the hook now, one where I'm the loop holding the shot can slide on the hook, the barb stops it sliding off, also seen in so you can fish a popup off a hair with the hook pulled down to the bottom. Only problem in my eyes is its gonna be prone to blunting the hook. I don't really mess with rigs, I still fish a hair rig blow back style, only adjustment I've made is its a loop to loop combi rig, I can whip the bottom hair rig loops up in seconds. My current loops are kurve shank size 4, large korda kicker, with a blowback ring, 20mm bottom bait, 16mm topper so it's sat snowman. I like about 5 - 10mm separation between the hook and bait. The bottom loops are looped onto a 6" stiff boom. I would normally fish a standard blow back rig with it stripped at the bottom but the loop to loop combis just make them quicker to tie, and the stiff boom section helps reduce tangles when fishing at range 🤙 Wonder how much the weighted hook beads will be when they hit the market 🤣

Back on the res for a 48 hour, on the second night now and off the mark with this one 👍 Hovering just over 25lb 👍

Good angling mate and what a stunning fish 👍 I've done one more at 14lb, I couldn't be bothered with a self take but had this one this morning just as it was getting light

21lb common 👍 Done 9 nights in the last 2 weeks, had an amazing time and met some great people 🤙 lost 4 more carp and had a few more bream on the bank 🤣 Went thru 25kg of boilie and 10kg of tigers 🤣 I'm all out of bait now, need to order some more basemix ingredients and get rolling again 👍

Seen this on Facebook mate, hope you and everyone else can get it sorted 👍

Just a little update I'm still at the res, I've lost 4 fish since Thursday, the one on Thursday felt like a really decent fish, was holding out in the water at about 60 yards, managed to get it a bit in a bit further but the hooked pulled, then lost another 3 due to hook pulls. Personally I think it's down to me and not the tackle, I was in between 2 other anglers and was probably putting a bit too much pressure on the fish to stop it kiting and wiping out their rods. Anyway I'm on the end of them now and here for another night. Was really quiet last night but the conditions have changed, a bit cooler with wind and cloud. Hopefully I can get one on the bank before I leave tomorrow 👍

11 bream.. I made the drive this morning and managed to get a 5kg of krill. Just had a 14lb common so well worth it 🤙 Excuse the photo 🤣

Ran out of bait and the nearest tackle shop is over an hour away, bought some pony cubes from an animal feeds store. And some tinned corn, cannellini beans, red kidney beans and chick peas. Chucked some in and it sinks fine, silvers have moved in on it already 🤣

11lb common and 5 bream. New bait ain't filling me with confidence 🤣🤣
