I can't help thinking supple uncoated braid causes damage, especially if you have a big lead swinging about 4 inches from the fishes face, but yeah most fish on my syndicate with mouth damage came from when the lake used to be a match lake, we are now trying to catch them ones and retire them to another pond.

Aerlex isn't all that tbh, I've never really felt it was a great reel it does the job now I've taken the S clip out of the bail arm but it's not brilliant, at the moment this 20 quid reel feels smoother, and nicer, whether it will stay that way remains to be seen. My okuma 8ks are miles ahead of the aerlex . They have brought out a new aerlex and it looks exactly like all the other shimano reels. And is now £120 looks like they have rebadged the speed master.

This is my £20 Rooblinos ngk 8000 that I bought off temu, I've spooled it up with 35lb angryfish purple braid with Gardner shock leader and I will be putting it through its paces sometime to see how it handles the business of spodding, it has some plasticky bits but feels pretty smooth and the line lay doesn't seem bad, it's slow oscillating and a nice long spool, it has sealed bearings and carbon drag washers + a 20kg drag but will it be true to it's spiel and be Elmo proof or will I need to switch back to the battered old Aerlex after it explodes. Only time will tell..........

I have one true green and 2 clear with green wheels, true green is better, but initially got a really good deal on clear before I broke one falling over 😂 -

I think the only difference is the LED, but not too sure for definate, you could email Gardner if you want to know for sure, I've only had the underlit so I think it's preference, I would definately advise on the deluxe receiver though, Sometimes the underlit can be hard to see in the daylight if you just get a single beep(good at night though) , and the single led to the side might actually be more visible in that situation but I tend to look at the receiver if I can't tell. -

Much less ploppy than a spomb really weren't they, certainly could be more stealthy, I have used one from time to time I got a sky raider a couple of years ago, it never took much to get the contents stuck in them though, well all the spod spill would come out obvs 😂 -

Good idea, I've been toying with the idea of zigs and floaters this year and not dropping a spomb right on their head seems a good idea 😉 -

Have both tbh, the biggun is best for boilies but they will both get some bait on the spot, remember you need to set your clip between 2-3 wraps shorter(depends how you hit the clip etc but it's great for making a spread, and cast it like you would your normal spod. -
Phew, I wouldnt recommend paying 20 for one 😱

You did buy two didn't you?

I got some new Korum digital scales for my birthday to save some space and weight saved in my rucksack. My old scale kit weighed 2lb9oz, not sure what the new ones weigh but I should think I've reduced by 2lb, Over the coming weeks I will be continuing to carry less toot with me.

If that happens I can take the hit at a tenner, that's if they last a month 😂 I will have to wear sunglasses to wear them 😎

You can use a photo compressor app or send it via WhatsApp or email to yourself that usually shrinks them a bit

You probably need to reduce the file size if it's an original pic

It's the £££££££ they are putting on the moment that get me nearly a grand nowadays, mental money for a tent and you still need extras with most.

I got a job lot at the Essex show, but yeah a trimmed down pop up would work just as well

If you don't want to use plastic you could use a tails up baits cornz hookbait on the rig. If you can find a local feed store you might be able to look at it before buying

Also if you are spombing within catapult range, I would always just use a pult, I've noticed carp on my water seem drawn to the sound of catapults they probably associate with freebies as people mainly use them for prebaiting with.
