  1. I had to work it out it was frying my brain lol, it's just over 20kgs a day of baiting, doesn't seem so excessive that way, but that's a lot of spodding. He must have arms like popeye,i would have to use a bait boat I think.
  2. If it wasn't for fishing we would all be millionaires
  3. I have been off work with the old Co vid this week. And I've been spending time looking at bait making, god knows why but there we are, I think it started with something about an electric caulking gun I saw, then I went full production mode, then I saw a comment saying "if you are making your own, the last thing you want to do is make them round" So I got to thinking what is the best way to cut paste sausages without them all going out of shape (like with a knife) has anyone used a pizza cutter for this task? I've seen the method where you boil the sausage first and then chop but I would like to boil after cutting if possible to seal the boilies if I can. I've developed a simple nut mix using AA Baits base mix with a couple of extras but keeping it simple. Probably won't save much in cash terms but I would have a fresher, better bait which might increase catch rate and be more attractive to the carps and different to most anglers on the bank with their round balls.
  4. Oh yeah it would be a dream to have that sort of time for a trip, maybe one day Kev. I guess you get out what you put into it, In my head that amount of bait doesn't even fit in a van 😂
  5. That seems a lot still and a lot of preperation. Must have cost a small fortune.
  6. Is that just boilies?
  7. Gardner make good quality stuff imo, my alarms are bomb proof, my g force stove is amazing even after 2 years the piezzo ignition still works (great stove) and a decent price
  8. Google AI suggests mid September if you believe that 🤔
  9. Go straight to the Burger Box for a burger n wing combo meal I reckon.
  10. Have you emailed Gardner themselves that might be a good idea. They will know more than us.
  11. We need the Jam
  12. Snide rod in the boat??? 😎
  13. You will have to serve high tea in Kev's corner next year.
  14. Ebay about a quid a pop for me.
  15. I like the look of this avid revolving table, Kev you really are the poshest angler I know.
  16. Well done ouch that's a banger. Nice log commonly.
  17. I like the claw hammers, I mainly use trig hammer XT at the moment though but they are a good n sharp wide gape style hook.
  18. To celebrate my latest blank I just bought 20 3.5oz dumpy distance leads and 20 micro hook swivels.
  19. That's my view from earlier. I've seen some, I am a little bit confident.
  20. You can get new seals and parts for them have a look on ebay.
  21. Tbh most people just think you are an idiot for making that much disturbance, if you can do it without being spotted it does help though. But most people tend to be doing their own thing and slaves to other swims, so you can get away with it to some degree. Pellets are good for spot clearing as they tend to suck up the smelly silt once you have raked and make your spot smell like it's been shake n vac'd, it's all you have to do.........
  22. Fortunately most people cannot be bothered to rake these days, preferring to look for existing spots or moaning about the weed, last time I fished I raked a margin spot and the next morning it had regular visitors, the only reason I didn't catch was I reeled it in with a big rudd that had impaled itself on the size 4, I went and cleared a couple of spots this week with a view to fishing this weekend, hopefully the bait and freshly cleared spots will have the fish visiting regularly cleaning them up for me. If I still can't get a drop I know they haven't, I baited a hole in the weed somewhere else also so I have options.
  23. Some serious hauling going on.
  24. I must admit last time I fished I really went to town with the weed rake and still caught the same night. That should probably scare them more than a quick bang with a mallet. It's not like you have to bang them all in usually.
  25. Not my fault. 😂 Would one work as a excavator for bivvy pegs?
