  1. I had the sonik sk set, hated the light everytime I got a run in the night it would go off as I woke up it would dazzle me and I wouldn't be able to acclimatise to the dark, gimmick if you ask me. Just have a head torch and a light for when you need one.
  2. Thanks, I just watched this vid Kev, there may or may not be a handy tip in it for you, I quite like what he did with the silicone 👍 r
  3. That sounds a little more than a multi rig Kev, got me Intrigued, I've tied some chods like that before and I did like the way they sat, I might have a play with that when I get some spare time, what sort of knot are you using to connect the coated braid to the mouth trap?
  4. I still say you are missing out 😂 I like a wide gape for a Ronnie or a jprecision long gape kranks are also good, imo has to be an Inturned eye for me though, Multi rigs I would probably use a chod type hook
  5. I'm sure I can find a stroke to pull somehow. They are banned on a couple of the lakes I fish so I couldn't use one anyway but if the need came and I felt it beneficial I would definately use one, not cheating just making use of a tool, good angling I say
  6. When I used my boat I always knew the "wraps" (12ft) to the spots, so if the Oxford vs Cambridge boat race did happen to pass through or boats suddenly got banned, I could always cast to the spots. And you still feel for a drop with the boat so you know what substrate feels like, only you also get a much more accurate baiting spread at the same time. Bit of a win win really.
  7. I've binned off all my tech this year, sold the boat, my deeper stopped working so I'm more or less a traditional angler these days, next up split canes and a pipe 😬
  8. Is it this muesli mix? https://www.skinners.co.uk/product/muesli-mix/?_gl=1*tyh59t*_up*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxqayBhDFARIsAANWRnSEUhHZN4M5OrSBOyxzjo2DtpzVAia-DNEMXNltS1xopqKp6OjxU0waAiQ0EALw_wcB The orange one is now a biscuit I think.
  9. 3 packs of J precision lg's size 5 barbed and a barbless. Korda mini crimp tool and small krimps. Cc Moore milk n nut crush pva bag mix. And a hooky x spod off ebay 🙄
  10. Change only for so far 👍welcome back matey.
  11. https://millbryhill.co.uk/products/mmf-micronized-mixed-flakes Something like this would make a good base.
  12. This is the original ingredients, I would have a look and see what ingredients you can find from this list and make your own, you could maybe add some groundbait or whatever to help it bind if required. And just add some other goodies too to make it unique.
  13. Do zig caught fish get altitude sickness or the bends? Maybe he needs to change his hook for a snorkel 😂
  14. If it ain't broke 😂
  15. Pop up on a spinner rig with a lead clip, pretty much 90% of my fishing tbh 😂
  16. Will be good to see you back out, you can always come to one of our nice socials, hope you find some more time soon 👍
  17. It really depends what's in front of me, usually strong line, and look for where they are feeding, I've found some great clearer spots by locating bubblers, I've also then prebaited some of those spots with good results. I now try and let the fish guide me, raking can work a treat too, but try to be discreet with it other wise you are doing hard work for others to reap the rewards.
  18. I think you mean when 😏
  19. Everytime I get to go is special 😏
  20. Innovate baits for me these days the Reaper Nut Mix Is my go to I tried a last ditch zig today not sure i had the depth right because I guessed 😂 but a few fish acting weird around it and circled it or crashed out near it. Something I should maybe giving some more time too whilst it's warm because nothing was coming off the deck this afternoon
  21. They are that buoyant even chuck Norris can't push them to the bottom of the lake.
  22. Hope not I haven't got a lifetime supply yet 😂
  23. I've heavily glugged proper jobs and they still stay proud, I did hear they were a certain favourite of the top goo anglers.
  24. I've had a little spend up this weekend 2 9ft sonik extractors, cult tackle rod bag, Gardner unhooking sling, korda boom and boom tubes, some korda pouches for lighter and better organisation, collapsible bucket, few other odds and sods but I now have some rods for my gold emblems and will have a nip out for an hour or two mobile set up for some fun fishing
