  1. I've not really tried it yet with a fish so not sure but it would make a handy back up, I will give it a try alongside my camera, my kids took most of my recent ones on the phone as I forgot my camera last time.
  2. I got an app on my phone called selfer, and you can set it like an intervalometer, Thanks yonny looks great, will screenshot it so I can keep it and will get my camera out tonight and have a play.
  3. Good luck mate, hope you bag a whacker.
  4. Hopefully you catch a real biggun now and you can show us your new found camera skills, good luck
  5. Thanks would be very handy, I normally use an intervalometer and do self takes at the moment.
  6. 650d I think it's quite an old one now. 18-55 lens
  7. Same as works a treat, much better than a genuine spomb tbh 👍
  8. I'm gonna have to digest this post, is it similar for canon lol, I'm an auto man 😳 Great post though will have a look at my camera when I get a minute. As I've not been so happy with my shots lately. Smashing it @jh92 cracking fish keep em coming.
  9. Free spirit helicals are pleasing so far, I haven't really had to chuck one far yet but they feel decent and still nice to play fish on.
  10. I did have a look they are over £200 now though 😬
  11. It wasn't me I don't think 😂 There was a nash dot spod stuck up a tree for months and it used to annoy me seeing it there because the owner shouldn't have really been fishing that spot I didn't think,I couldn't buy one of those either. The air bomb takes a little getting used too but once you do it's really good, you need to clip up between 2-3 rod lengths shorter than the spot. Good thing about it though it always lands off the spot. And even particles fly out of it quite nicely.
  12. Spombs are rubbish I foind they wouldnt open about 20% of the time, X spods are far superior in my book, I would rsther use a tfg airbomb than a Spomb. Actually Kev if you wanted to make a good spread of bait similar to throwing stick. Airbomb ftw.
  13. You can get hooky x spods now, and unlike the hooky spombs they actually work nearly as well.i probably wouldn't run one over but they do cast well and open. I got one off ebay for about a tenner.
  14. I'm doing pretty good today so far made smoothie bowls for breakfast, prepped and air frying some chicken boobs, now gonna walk the dog, then wash the cars. Then do some Buddha bowl prepping for dinner for the week. I am like a real grown up now 😂
  15. I take my car cleaning quite seriously I have a rolling tool box with all my cleaning bits in 🤣 All this talk of jet washers makes me think it's car cleaning Sunday today.
  16. It's not a karcher but it has got some power. I also have a snow foam lance sounds like you need that to start with.
  17. If it doesn't work I have got a pressure washer 😂
  18. You can get your ears done in specsavers now, I think they blast them with a pressure washer or something to clear them out. Might not be a pressure washer though. But apparently what they do seems to work.
  19. I've just started this month's baitworks podcast and apparently mark uses a a short IQ d rig in his solid bags. I quite like a d rig nice and easy to make too. And I've got a load of chod hooks that I never use 😂
  20. I think I prefer a wafter in a bag just looks more natural. I don't think a bag rig needs to be complicated. A multi rig wouldn't be a bad choice it would do all the hookbaits you want and it would be easy to change the hook. (not for a mesh bag though)
  21. Personally I would use a an uncoated braid, as it would be supple, you could leave a coated section at the lead end to act as an anti tangle sleeve, What type of hookbait and rig set up are you using? I would use a 4 or 6 hook probably. KD rigs work pretty well in a bag.
  22. That's an Interesting idea, I've also been guilty of spending ages poncing up hookbaits, and actually quite often ones I think should be deadly don't catch anymore than the rest (sometimes less Infact) . I have got a tub of unflavoured proper jobs that was planning to flavour the stinky winky out of. I do think I catch more when I use my spod mix though which has loads of colours, I do think the garlic granules are a factor but maybe I've been overlooking the importance of the colour. You can also add why does plastic corn work so well. I think it is probably a lot to do with length of rig as much as the shot. And possibly lead arrangement too, I used inlines and 2" shorter rigs for my recent hauling trip, I don't think i am changing back to lead clips or helis anytime soon.
  23. Yeah, I've even got some groundbait mix ready, but usually leave it at home to save carrying an extra bucket. Maybe next time.
  24. It's comin home, it's coming, tackle shops coming home 😂
  25. I wish I could be bothered to try the method again, I've got all the bits to do it, but never seem to get round to actually doing it.
