  1. I think I might get the particle plate after all, just watched a video tigers come out a nice size and dave levy said about crushing maize that's got to be an edge right there, crushed maize, tigers and hemp and a little crumb and chops, the carp would be wetting themselves with joy at that mix,
  2. I can't believe you haven't either they are so useful πŸ˜‚and you can make your bait go twice as far in a short space of time , I don't use the crusher that often but this time of year I do use a bit of crumb, and it's handy when I need it, you can also crush pellets that's a good thing to do, Ridgemonkey is miles ahead in this department, they make kordas bits look like they come out of smyths toy superstore.
  3. 3 avid for the tried and tested Ronnie, and the other two for a solid bag /method feeder rig I have decided I want πŸ˜‚ I never bothered with the particle plate, I had a similar thing with tigers, I put them through again and it crushed them a bit more, I also think the PP would just turn boilies into dust, I quite like there is still chunks, I also have a couple of choppers they work a treat make light work of halving baits, need to stay fairly close to the size they recommend though as the blade flexes if the boilies are too small for the chopper.
  4. Little bit more stuff today 3 packs of large avid d rig kickers, Avid QC lead clips and tail rubbers 10 off Some ridgemonkey d rig kickers and also some gardner d rig kickers. Turns out I mainly bought kickers 😳
  5. Can't do this with a spomb though can you?
  6. Oh really I didn't know that, that would've been a feature to brag about when they have so many people complaining about them not opening πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚
  7. Apparently spombs now have a setting which you can click/adjust in the nose that makes them open easier, X spod is still better though.
  8. Agreed if a krimp isn't right it will slip. I always listen for that clicking sound when I crimp them, then I pull them enough to see if they will slip. The gemini booms are decent to be fair I have used them myself
  9. Wolf spods are much better than spombs. an actual spod is better than a spomb even with spod spill πŸ˜‚
  10. Just finished this one, nice story and some blooming nice big carps.
  11. I wouldn't bother with a cheap boat tbh, I bought one off Ali express, for similar money it was terrible, wouldn't go straight or open when you wanted it too, then I bought an actor plus and while it was a lot better to use, I found I was getting bogged down by tech, I had a deeper attached and in the end I felt like I was taking hours to get my rods out, I've sold it now and just use a good old fashioned spod rod, distance sticks with a lead, x spod, catapult or throwing stick, and I enjoy my fishing more again. Don't get me wrong there are times when it would be a godsend, but keeping it simple, gives me more time to focus on the important stuff like chilling out and looking at the water.
  12. Isn't a bait boat a kind of watercraft? πŸ˜‚
  13. Such a great video, one you could never imagine happening but its got something truly pure, honest and wonderful about it.
  14. I watched the obsession by Carl first then found Scott Lloyd had also released his video the same day, I really enjoyed both of them and felt they made a great story between them. So I will recommend them as a pair of films.
  15. Have you seen this one I love this video.
  16. That's a shame , you would think these things should get better and easier as they develop, they seldom seem too, i will keep having ideas anyway πŸ˜‚
  17. Thinking anglers do make some good videos, this one popped up last week and I really enjoyed seeing the hard work and prep. https://youtu.be/YFM1nSmsSS8?si=lOEEx8fIPQrz3_Kt
  18. Be careful what you wish for i might start having lots of ideas πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚
  19. Also maybe a sub category for subscription service reviews. I've subscribed to quite a few lol
  20. I did watch most of it but just missed the last 20 minutes or so, you just have to make the most of nap times when you get them πŸ˜‚
  21. Yeah same these days, some of it may be good but I never really want to find out, I've been tempted by a bush whacker a few times though. I've got one of those reels, I don't rate them tbh, I don't like the double handles and the line lay isn't the greatest, I was a little disappointed with the quality of it overall, but it works and for the amount it gets used I can't be bothered to change it.
  22. Spoiler alert 😳😬🀣
  23. I watched that earlier, but missed the end cos I had a nap πŸ˜‚
  24. I have a 6000 shimano baitrunner on my 7ft rod and it feels fine, they might be slightly big for 6ft Rods but I cant help thinking you will outgrow those pretty quickly and want some longer rods, The 55 sized custom black would also be good, that has a 15kg drag which would handle the job nicely, the 8k has an 18kg drag and they will handle anything, they might be a good choice for you.
  25. My post might make more sense when the 1st part of it is approved 😳
