  1. eurotunnel very quick and efficient, the earlier you book the cheaper it is
  2. i know were your thinking and think it would be ideal for the girls, not sure on the toilets tho
  3. Good luck tell dan he's a Cov fairy
  4. I have had the slx mark 1 for 3 years and its still going strong and it's been used A LOT and thought about getting the slx v2 just because it has a peak, I just spent two months in Wigan and I was melting inside my bivvy because I was wearing a full dress suit and full thermal underwear it was very hot, That made my mind up that my next bivvy would have proper coat hooks like my brolly (jrc stealth ll) because the cats can climb through the vents which is so much better in the heat, But as we don't get much sun over here i would say yes get one.
  5. All of them except Robson green, using a bow and arrow to catch carp made me sick but the rest of them are all worth watching, catching the impossible my favourite
  6. I would have it more like a wafter if I was using a pop up but tbh if fishing a hard clay bottom I would fish a bottom bait with a piece of fake corn.
  7. ian the reason salford park is over looked is its been rapped by our foreign friends i fished it about 8years ago now and had some great nights catching big slabs 10lb+ (venue for you andy )but unfortunately tackle thefts gangs of hoodies and a few split lips NOT MINE i decided it just wasn't worth it going fishing tooled up is not my idea of fun, there was big carp in there 8yeas ago but never seen anyone fishing it now for years
  8. the cost of tackle is ridiculous these days any way of making it cheaper is good and you really will see how easy it is one day and you will kick yourself for wasting your money on ready tied rigs, and to get perfect presentation you will need to tie your own because the length of hair will not match your hook baits, you will need to match your baits to the hair.
  9. those rigs are so easy to tie i wouldn't bother i would get your own hooks and tie your own you will realize how easy a knotless knot is to do once you have done it
  10. have a look at lakemore in haslington by crewe you can book on there so if your going to need to travel at least you know you can get on,strict no alcohol rules also orchid lakes oxford has a cat lake
  11. there is a face book page 50 shades of birmingham that i have read and found extremely funny have a look
  12. good luck then but don't forget there is more rain to come
  13. i would ring first if your traveling far,i can see the banks bursting on the stream behind manor and hunts corner, don't forget they are gravel pits with very hard ground so the water won't drain very fast if it does flood,it might be ok when you get there but could easily flood in the middle of the night and could catch you out.
  14. ian just sent me a sample off the bait jez,and i'm very happy with it,very similar too the mainline pro-active pineapple just a little darker
  15. nice one jez i'll have a look at them
  16. no mate we taking a bait iberian (ian) is getting, its being made fresh for us,basically a fishmeal and pineapple bait we will all have 1k 30mm 4k 24mm and 20k of 20mm each, but i will be using halibut pellet on one rod for the cats, and was hoping to do some surface fishing myself during the day i might bring some cell just incase
  17. i already have a bucket of biscuits 4 weeks Saturday and counting
  18. good luck pal fair play to you for giving it a go,hope it works out
  19. i just trim a cell pop up to shape of dog biscuit it doesn't come off when casting wet like a biscuit does and is a very similar color to a wet biscuit.
  20. i think kim meant the carp but if you was live baiting your rig would only just be under the surface 18inch or so
  21. i will show them at sandhurst lewis i have not had any problems at all in fact since i started using these leaders my catch rate has gone up i only use them for chod rigs and as long as the bead slides of the leader ok and on to the line i can't see a much safer or simple rig you can fish a naked chod but that needs to be weighed down with putty or sinkers and the line some people use may not contour the bottom sweetly, these leaders do an excellent job and very slow sinking with the chod, had 2, 15lbers 1,26lber 2,30+ and my latest capture in 3 sessions all using solar leaders, and unless they get banned or i'm not allowed to use them on a water,i will carry on using them the results speak for them self
  22. i had all my cats on boilie 33lb biggest
