    i agree with coops no need for chod rig on hard bottom a simple knotless knot no frills, if lead is burying itself a bit just use longer hook lengths

    as long as pop up is balanced right then should be fine on any bottom

    use longer rigs 2ft long at least 3ft is my usual length on river pva bag with hookbait inside it and line's as slack as possible.you could also take a weed rake and clear yourself some clear spots
