  1. sorry thought it was hams hall not pens hall and you still need to speak to carpdotjohn about penns hall as he has just come off penns because there is way to many numpty's peg saving to many lines in water people using bait boats when i don't think there is any part of lake wider than 100 yds tackle thefts about month ago, hams hall much better bet for you
  2. sure the bloke i met was called dave i might be wrong my mate john will still be on there till monday think he's in peg next to tree house
  3. carpdotjohn has just joined and is fishng it at the moment just had a 16 out,he is rating it aswell crystal clear water silty bottom with bars everywhere two islands dave the owner will also get your bait cheaper than tackle shop
  4. take some worms for the cats and large pellets 2x22mm on hair, don't bother taking any alcohol as its not allowed, the bailiffs should give you all the info you need.very small lakes but nice and peaceful.what lake are you on?
  5. bottom baits work fine no need for fancy rigs the bottom is flat with no snags only the boards your sitting on that the fish will try and get round, pellet waggler bagging waggler and dog biscuit also work really well in warmer weather
  6. yes you can look round all the lakes pick your swim the bailiff will come to you to take your payment
  7. i'm actually on manor at moment and i can tell you st'john brasenose oxlease hunts corner and manor are all very busy. had a run first cast after about 10mins.lost it and not had a sniff since except what i thought was a screamer and 7-30 this morning to find the so and so in next peg with my rig round his marker float
  8. if you go on there site there catch report is on there
  9. i would take maize where ever i go but pellets would be my plan of attack
  10. i would take some pellet if he has stocked farmed fish they will have been fed on pellets
  11. i used 2 fox warriors with diawa windcast reels with 12lb line on and had no trouble but the lake i was fishing was more of a runs water mostly upper 20's the only thing i would change for bigger fish is step up to 15lb mainline, you can usually use a boat in france so if you need to get further than you can cast, use the boat
  12. walk round left hand side of lake to get to the 90's and only parking is by dam wall to be fair most pegs can catch i just like it around the 90's because never had less than 10 fish from them fav pegs 35 -36 fish towards or next to pontoon or boat house thats it i've got to kill you now, if you can get on those pegs. if you blank i think you need to take up golf
  13. if you get there early enough head for pegs around the 90's fish long in day with small bags or method and short after 2ish i just chuck my bait in as far as will go under arm and just fish over it, corn and pellet work really well, there is also another peg thats a flyer but if i told you that i would have to kill you
  14. you should have waited a bit even in summer the fish don't start really getting on it till 3-4ish
