Donโt suppose you took a photo inside the brolly so I can see how much room you haveย
I'm afraid not mate butย i will next time I use it, when ever that's going to be.ย
I will say one thing though i was surprised how much room there was more than I'd imagined. ๐๐

Thanks , Finchey .
I forgot to ask , and as you mentioned " the loop " , Emmcee has an 1 1/2" loop ( with a SZ.4 ) , what size loop do you have with your SZ.6 ,ย pls. ? .
๐
I don't actually measure the size of the loop I make just big enough to fit over the hook, it's just trial and era with me because if I use the rig for a pop up I like it pop up as short as I can get it.ย
I hope this helps you Crusian.๐๐

Hi Finchey
I seeย that you are using a SZ.6 rather than a SZ.4 like Emmcee , and I'm wondering if like me you are targeting 20s' rather than 30s' and 40s' ? .
As you mentioned ย Bank Tackle , I asked themย if they had any plans to introduce Ready Made Rigs , and they will be in the future , which is just what I wanted to learn as I always seem to find excuses for not making up some rigs .
๐
The answer to your question is yes 20's if I'm lucky but usually doubles.ย
I find these rigs so easy to tie, the hardest part for me is getting the loop for the hook the right size apart from that there a doddle. ๐๐

And forgot to mention there always hooked bang in the middle of the bottom lip. ๐๐

I've been using the multi rig for around 12 months now and I've always used a curve shank hook with it and always a bank tackle size 6, up to now I don't think I've lost a fish in all that time. I'm 100% confident in this rig I use it for bottom baits, pop ups and wafters. A massive bonus for me is that it is so quick and easy to tie. ๐๐

Dont understand why you'd need a rotary washing line for fishing.ย ๐
When you fish up north you need to carryย one with you too dry your gear out because it rains so much. ๐คฃ๐

I agree totally - they are completely overlooked in terms of carp - i'm going to have a bit of a mini campaign on Rake/lower rod this year, probably autumn time. As far as i'm aware only one or two people fish it for carp - the club advertise it as a pike water and stipulate that there is no carp present - but there clearly is to those that know. There are a few pikers I know that have been on there over the winter, but a 30 out of there is immense. Fish of a life time right there!
I'm talking 20 plus years ago and at the time there were 2 definite different 30lbers in there. It was a fantastic water at the time, I couldn't tell what the stamp of fish are like now. ๐๐

Rake Brook and lower roddlesworth
Hi Damo these used to be on the withnell ticket and i used to fish them many years ago for the pike, very hard waters put properly one of the best pike waters in the area at the time, one of my mates had his one and only 30 out of rake brook. There are some big carp in lower roddlesworth I've watched them many times in the summer cruising around on top never fished for them because I wasn't interested in carp at the time, but they have to be worth a ago, I'dย be tempted to pre bait some areas and have a go for them, I don't know if anyone fishes for them now but at the time only a couple of lads used to fish for them, I couldn't even tell you if they ever got caught.
As for the withnell ticket they don't have a lot of carp waters only the two I mentioned in my earlier post and I don't really know how good they are as yet I only rejoined the club in January after many years and I've not really fished a lot up to now.ย

Not fished any of those - are they day ticket? Haven't fished a day ticket in a while but always up for it if it's a decent water.
I fish a couple of waters not too far from Wigan on the PAAS ticket (Ulness Walton and Withnell Bottom Lodge) and a couple of stretches of the Ribble at Preston.
Hi Damo and welcome to the forum. I'm also from the lovely north west, I'm a member of withnell Anglers and fish junior lodge at withnell fold and roach bridge lodge. You've got plenty of choice of excellent waters with prince Albert ticket. It's nice to have another northerner on board. ๐๐

Well I did my first overnighter last night on one of the waters on my new club ticket, it's a runs water nothing too big they go to high doubles. Any way I had 6. Smallest 6 1/2 biggest 10lb. It was nice to get a bend in the rods. No photo's the weather wasn't the best didn't fancy taking photos in the rain. ๐๐

I'll start off this month.ย
Just got back from a 36 hour.ย
Wind was awful, rain was awful.ย
Ground was like a bog but I managed 2 fish.ย
Nothing big but made it worthwhile.ย
Had the pleasure of photographing the best looking mirror ive ever seen on the bank for another angler that went 25lb.
This was one of mine that luckily came in one of the better 10 minutes of weather on Saturday afternoon.ย
ย
Good angling mufty great start to March.๐๐

I should of been going fishing tomorrow only my second trip to my new club water, I've been so busy at work with this bad weather it's messed all my plans up. So I was really looking forward to tomorrow everything sorted, some new pop ups and glugs to try out and guess what I've only gone and fallen down the stairs this morning top to bottom. blooming stupid dog only wentย and left a toy on the stairs in the night and blooming stupid me slipped on it. I'm struggling to walk never mind fish, I'm absolutely gutted. ๐ญ๐ญ.
Looking on the bright side I'm hopefully doing my first over nighter next weekend Sunday till Monday, maybe till Tuesday if I'm lucky. ๐๐ค
