Elmo found the size, that is definitely longer than my Gardner scorpion one I use at the moment and from what I have seen on YouTube they are better for the distance Iโm after.

Leon bartropp did a review on those, he seemed to like it ๐ย

That was actually one of the reviews I watched.๐๐

Well I did a bit of searching on this forum and another one that I go on and was reading about the more budget carbon throwing sticks and ngt came up quite a lot. So I went on google didnโt find a lot of reviews but I couldnโt find a bad one. So I completely ignored what yonny told me and bought a ngt, sorry yonny ๐ But if it breaks first time out itโs my own fault mate. ๐๐

Hi guys I've joined a new water which is very clicky it seems to be the way today to try intimidate new anglers, they act like it's there water
ย
I joined a new club in January of this year and the first time I went for a walk around the place I got a very similar reception as you, it was more trying to put me of fishing this one particular lake and pointing me Inย other directions of other waters on the ticket. I felt like you kiss my backside and Iโll do my own thing, but I put a similar post on here and was told a lot of places are the same. So I just went fishing kept myself to myself and they came chatting to me. They have aย ย totally different attitude now and when I went o Sunday we were just chatting like nothing had happened. Just give it time mate it will all work out.๐

I've only actually slept inside it once so far, rest of time is just on top of it in my trakkie.ย
I got inside mine for a couple of hours on Sunday because I was fishing my lo pro open fronted and it got a bit nippy in the early hours.๐๐

Iโve got to agree with highy on this one. It is the best Iโve had but it is also the only one Iโve had and it was free I won it along with the bed and pillow. I find them all excellent really comfortable bed and pillow and the sleeping bag is nice and warm. Iโve not done a winter night but Iโve done one in March and I was plenty warm enough with t shirt and ย Cargo pants on.

Certainly a bargain but for me they're not long enough (you really need close to or more than a metre long for proper distance imo). A curved stick also helps, to get that top spin
I think that is the problem with the scorpion stick I have at the moment it is too short. I'll have a look at your recommendation's cheers. ๐

I need a better throwing stick I've got a gardner scorpion at the moment and I was struggling to throw 80 yards last night and this morning, it wasn't weather conditions or anything like that I just couldn't get the distance. Any recommendations with out breaking the bank, I don't want to go down the carbon fibre route I just don't have the funds for that.ย
Cheers in advance. ๐๐๐ฃ

Not too bad, stopped twice each way.ย
10 minute walk without the Barrow.ย
I guess I like being comfortable when doing an overnighterย
I'm exactly the same mate, I like to be ready for every situation, even on a day session. Last time I did a day I did reduce my gear a lot and carried it, it was still too much to carry, I know this may sound stupid but I find it easier to push a fully loaded Barrow than to carry a small amount. ๐คฃ๐๐คฃ

Hi everyone, Iโm new to this site so thought I would add a post to say hello! My name is josh and Iโve been fishing for around 16 years since I was a young lad with my dad. Since the years have gone on Iโve got more serious about my carp fishing and Iโve just decided to start vlogging some my fishing adventures and trips and also started vlogging different campaigns. All the support from anyone would be greatly appreciated by subscribing to my YouTube Chanel (ย https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCVHMlOfbVe6wGUDuxOyIjswย ) and following my Instagram account ( josh_rapley1) . I have some very exciting trips planned and the footage will be good ๐๐ปย
ยAnyway Iโd like to share a little story from a recent session where I landed these 2 fish.ย
Since the rules of lockdown got slightly lifted I was straight away out on the bank trying new fisheries such as Bishops Bowl, where I managed to bank a new PB mirror of 26.04 and another little private lake where I managed to bank a 24 mirror. After catching these I was itching to get back on my local that I have fished since being a kid, but I wasnโt able to fish it until the 1st of June as the lake wasnโt opening. So I made sure I booked myself 4 nights from the 1st. Session started well with me banking 3 fish in the first day, and it continued quite steady for the next 2 nights catching a few up to upper doubles. The following day it went quiet for a while with not much action so I got a little bit more bait around my spot tight to a fallen tree where I had all the fish from. Within 20 mins of a re cast the rod was off, when playing this fish I noticed it was a big ghostie, now I knew there was 2 ghosties that big, one around mid 20โs and one known as the โbig ghostieโ which came out twice last year at just over 30. This big ghostie is a fish I have been after for over 6 years so you can imagine the thoughts going through my head. Eventually I slid the net under the fish and before taking a proper look I went to wake my mate up. I ย went and woke him up from the next swim and said โI think Iโve caught itโ, and he knew straight away what fish I was on about because I have mentioned it so many times, so we walked back into my swim and he had a proper look in the net which I still hadnโt done, he just turned and smiled and I knew I had the one ๐๐ป So at this point Iโm thinking is this my first 30? Turned out not to be at 29lb 6oz, made no difference to me I was absolutely buzzing because it was another PB and a fish I have wanted for so long!!! And then to top that off about half hour later I landed this beautiful 24lb 2oz new PB common off the same spot! Love it!! Currently doing a campaign on a park lake which I am vlogging, trailer out on YouTube and Instagram so go check it out!! 48hrs at Sandhurst also coming up soon so will I catch my first 30? Subscribe to find out!! Tight lines everyone ๐๐ป๐ฃ๐ฃNice fish Josh good angling mate. ๐๐๐ฃ
