Take it easy though dude. I don't think of anything whilst on the bank. First thing I done as soon as I was mobile was arranged this weekend on a lake. I usually have a couple of books to read when I'm fishing, The Secret Carp and Reel Time ll by Chris Yates are currently in the rucksack, along with my tablet with a couple of downloads and games. Sky gets a 2mile walk round the lake, and it's a slow walk as I combine it with fish spotting. Strange thing though, often if I see fish on the way around, then get back to my swim, I'll see fish there, so be reluctant to move. The nature here is amazing, swans, coots, ducks, muntjac and roe deer, along with owls, buzzards and red kites. I've even seen stoats and grassnakes as well as newts, frogs and toads. I wouldn't be without my radio 🤣 I quite happily just sit there making rigs, watching the water/rods with the radio going in the background lol. This session has been a bit nuts, I've been working the spot since I got here, putting out 10 spombs after every fish (had around 18 I think) its been a lot work but very rewarding, but it's enjoyable, kind of got into a bit of a rhythm, got some music going while I bait up lol. I just wanna point out I'm not being a yobbo belting out music disturbing everyone, I'm on 90 acres of water and hundreds of yards from anyone with a small radio basically following me from the bivvy to where i bait up🤣 mrmud, salokcinnodrog and B B
mrmud
Busy wishing I was fishing whilst working on the car. Forced regeneration of dpf so hopefully some of the £500 I save cleaning it rather than replacing it can then go on more fishing stuff 🤞🏼

Carpbell3
I very nearly sold up this year all my gear is on ebay and the fact I have people trying to haggle means I don't want to sell up anymore. Some of the nonsense they they ask to get the price down is funny, had the same guy message me about alarm receivers numerous times never replied. Another asked me what my lowest price was, so I put 250 on the asking price, 😆 yonny and elmoputney
salokcinnodrog
I spent a lot of yesterday going through back Facebook to 2016 to get back pictures that photobucket has put on hold now that they are charging for hosting. I setup the photobucket account around 2006 and for years it was no problem, hosted pictures, used on here and carpforum, and as storage because PC's simply didn't have the memory, or needed replacing every few years. Then photobucket changed terms and conditions and charged for pictures used on other sites. I've been through photobucket and filled up tablets and phones with years of pictures. I now need some of my old pictures for PAC (Pike Anglers club) talks I'm doing this season, first one next month in Lincoln, region 48. Then the joys of transferring them from Android back onto USB stick, which means renaming everything to store them in the order I need them. Carpbell3 Posted Saturday at 09:48 Report Share Posted Saturday at 09:48 Been eating, well drinking, boilie mix super milk... had a real bad cold a few weeks back that was causing all sorts of breathing problems meaning I didn't eat right losing over a stone in weight. Got some of the mass gainer from optimum nutrition worked really well think I'm going to buy them regular and they taste nice, be just right for a fast meal when out angling. Got to have more tests for COPD xrays showed signs for it... Brightside I have a 64% chance of getting a PIP payment which should increase somewhat when I include my groin hernia which looks massive and needs strapping before I do anything. mrmud

Also how I got my hernia last winter but that was me lazy lifting.
yonny Posted Tuesday at 13:52 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 13:52 Well it looks like winter has arrived early lads. My kid are at home building a snowman! My monthly overnighter is due this Friday and I can't wait, regardless of conditions. No point in having all this fancy thermal gear if it's not put to good use. Anyone else out this week? elmoputney, commonly and mrmud

Tbf I would have preferred this.... would have got some oxygen in the water. With such little rain and wind round these parts, a few places have suffered with low dissolved oxygen. Add to that sub zero air temps and a load of snow to get the water temps down...... I can't say I'm expecting it to kick off 😂 elmoputney

bluelabel Posted Tuesday at 19:06 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 19:06 Well... last week I had the unenviable task of clearing my late buddy's tackle room for his widow... now my house is full of his gear... the overriding message I took from the experience, was not to spend too much time accumulating material things.... if you go earlier than your wife, lover, partner, whatever... they'll need to deal with it all and they'll never realise the cost of those things... With this in mind, once I have cleared his gear, I shall be having a good clear out of gear... cutting back to bare minimums, I don't want my lass to go through that which my mates widow has endured... I'm just chuffed I can still do it at my age, well used to be able, ladders sold yesterday so no more nipping out to do a quick job.
