A device that strikes the hook automatically is apparently banned under fishing licence rules in certain areas.

I dont understand why that is?

Surely a barbed hook should have more damage to a fishes mouth than spring loaded rig???

This element which apparently sets the hook nicely, would be better than damage that may be caused when the fish try to eject a standard rig?

    I'll try it on 1 rod until I'm told I can't..

Ali appeared genuine about this bit of kit, from what I could tell. Don't know him from Adam, but from the underwater footage, it would appear to be a game changer imo.

Tench will move in almost as quick as you finish, and carp not long after on many waters.

Saying that, I've fished waters where raking a swim is the kiss of death ☠

Carp will clear the weed eating particles, but raking it is a 'No no'.

    I'm on that place now!

    I know what you mean.

I have turned fish on by using the gardener rake. They come in within 5 minutes on smaller waters.

I've tried this numerous times on the reservoir ticket and had nothing at all. Zigs, bottom baits they stay away🤯

  3. I have a feeling its nuisance species. No crays on the res that I know of. Its a bit frustrating when I've sat behind the rod for a good few hours. 12-24 if I know my traps are set ok.

The Biomass was well above average last year. The pike and perch have done well, with no cats, zander or sturgeon.

Hard hookbaits for the snowman, usually come back in ok. Just no carp on the end since last year.

Looking forward to the social where hopefully have a chance if a few fish in front of me🫰🙏

It proves my point that a wrap is not a  unit of measurement, whereas a metre, or yard is:wink:

That has been my argument all the way through.

    C'mon Nick.

As far as english carp fishing goes, a wrap is generally considered 12ft. Not metric measurements.

Same as weigh our fish in pounds and ounces, not kilos.

We dipped our toe into European measurements,  but unfortunately it's the British way to do things the hard way.

God save the pound! I mean Queen. Oops I meant King 🤴
