So we have 7 definate then?
I can message him and see what he says about it? And easiest way for payment
22nd and 23rd?
I'm surprised Ian @welder hasn't posted. I hope everything is ok?
He was the first to respond on the 2 occasions I have tried to arrange a social.
I'm sure we can fill the spots if necessary.
Oh & if I win the lottery before then, I did say I'd fly @buzzbomb over🤞

I think @welder @ his son are interested. So that's 7.
I'd be happy to do 3 nights too. Thursday 21st or Sunday 23rd
Elmo if you don't mind trying to arrange payments. Imo, if we can pay direct to the venue would be preferable.
Nice one

Yeah my only concern with horseshoe would be what if we turned up and it's rammed and we're all just camping, I know what you mean though, exclusives might be hassle if people back out, I don't mind driving I just wouldn't mind knowing I've got a swim when I get there if that makes sense
I understand totally and this has taken a while.
A friend on the forum is in with the management at carp society. I believe we could get a a certain area to ourselves. Rough numbers would be good, looks like around 8-10. To be clear, I have not joined yet or fished there, other members gave me the steer in 2019.
Exclusive lake bookings require money up front & you know my concerns there.
Day ticket waters are very hit & miss. Likely we wouldn't get to have much of a social, unless you consider one of the Brasenose waters at Linear, or something similar.
My resi syndi may do something. They have a few matches. It's near 300 acres ATM, so guaranteed a swim.🤣 Kent is not very central though.

It's awful quiet from anyone else though!?
Yep.
I was told this is why no one bothers???
Good suggestions Elmo.
Again, I've been told (when i tried in 2019) getting people to koff up money to book venues like these is difficult. & the extra money would need to be made up the guys that are committed 😒
Which won't be an issue at Horseshoe, you join, turn up, pay & play from what I believe.

Wow that was a grind 15 hours at the hospital fair play thay did the op but what a game of poltics i swear they are fitting NHS patients in between private jobs they got her in at 7am we were thinking it would be a morning op, 3.30 they took her in, the woman before was having a larger operation so they get another one in at the same time incase they can't go ahead with the first operation for whatever reason.
Done now and just the radiotherapy to start.
They (NHS)do the best with what this diarrhea government have put in front of them, as with every sector of life those with, are fine, those without take your chances????
At least we have a skeletal health service, I wouldn't want to live in the states and become ill.
,Best wishes fella

15th and 16th September were the 1st provisional dates
Yeah, better once the rug rats are back at school, in terms of the missus being more agreeable

I've blanked ar Linear a few times, there's some lovely fish there.
BB, Do you know if they want a deposit?
As others have previously told me, it's hard getting members to cough up in advance.
Nothing is firmed up, so we could July/October?
-
Evening gentlemen,
Apart from BB & Chillfactor, I haven't heard anything from those that showed an interest.
Last time (2019) it was clear getting people to pay up, turn up,the risk being conned etc. was a concern.
Having looked into how best to get members involved, pay the venue directly & have 10 or more guest in somewhere suitable, Horseshoe seems a good suitable venue?
It would be nice to approach the venue to confirm dates & rough numbers.
So, please respond to the above, or we can be totally open to suggestions for another suitable venue?
Muchos Grassyarse!

£25 to join, not the membership cost you first see on the link previously posted

Nudge, nudge to those that are interested!
I propose Horseshoe, seems to fit the bill & has scope for more or less members.
Any objections?
If not I suggest everyone interested should join the carp society and we can let the know that intend to turn up in mid September.
Thanks

OK. Thanks gents.
So,we're up to a nice round 10.
We can't get Elmo in trouble.
Weekend after 15th?
Chilly, how many nights were you thinking of mate?
-
Nice one !
Shall we say September?
Friday and Saturday night?
-
So, I make that an impressive 7 with myself.
To confirm
Ian Welder +1
Elmo
Snowman Steveo
Interax
Bluelabel
Anyone else interested?
Thanks gents

Thanks gents.
It would appear that there is only a handful of us interested, so a private venue will be fine.
Embryo looks good, but may well be booked up. Merrington looks OK too.
I think if we had 8 of us, its £80-90 each.
Mid to late September? October?
I'm totally flexible atm. But, would like to get this tied up and paid for asap.
-
As above. (unofficial to Carp. Com)
There's a few people interested.
Autumn time, so we can be flexible.
Venue TBC.
Names & availability please guys

Not sure how the emoji got in there???
