  1. Good stuff will look forward to giving it a go thanks,
  2. That's always the trouble with bulk spools, i always find one has less on than the others πŸ˜‚ I found the tiger line on Johnson Ross also it is over Β£65 for 3 spools or 250m per reel the 1000m is out of stock in 20lb I just just lashed out and bought the UK p line thanks one quick question does it sink really well and not stretch much? I know it is a bit late but it was a bargain if it works 😁 I seem to remember the guys on carp cast banging on about p line and saying how good it was, Thanks for that, I was hoping someone would have a good word to say, carpology Joe also said it cast well but he seems to say everything is brilliant so you sometimes have to take it with a pinch of salt, I doubt i will need to cast it that far, most of my fishing will be fairly close range this year, I've just bought the P LINE but if I don't like that I think I might get the floorit next πŸ‘
  3. You can get it in 15lb and 18lb now, still only 200m though
  4. Didn't know about tiger line, what lb bs do you normally use? I would probably go for 20lb I would think as I want it to be as strong as possible as i will be doing some snag fishing, I think my options so far are tiger line or diawa floorit, Has anyone used korda kontour? Thanks for the replies all πŸ‘
  5. Thanks for the reply Golden Paws One thing I've spotted this morning whilst looking was soaking it in warm water before you spool it is really meant to help, I usually do this with mono anyway as it seems to go on better, then put it on under tension to spool it on, I use one of those Contraptions you put on a table with a spring so you can add a little resistance whilst winding it on, seems to work OK usually with mono, so maybe that will help, I also read about the regular cleaning and stretching of it, I will be using it on my 2nd spools so I will still have hydrotuff loaded if I need it, I just think it could be a good idea for what I need it for, it will sink, be invisible and low stretch, when I looked at this guide below, the floor it just seemed a little stronger than the rest, fox illusion might not be so bad but I got burnt with their exocet braid that was absolute pony 😭 but strength is no good if it isn't supple and good at the rest of the job too πŸ‘
  6. Hi guys Having recently decided to go bushwhacker crazy, I was thinking I probably want a nice heavy sinking, low stretch, near invisible line to be extra covert (braid is banned otherwise I would) I had a little look at the tackle box line test and this one seemed to come out OK, but has anyone used it before? 20lb seems to fail at 17lb so can cope with some stick and I probably won't use it to cast with It's £40 for a 1000m so before I commit to a fluorocarbon mainline I want to know its going to be OK 😁 I also looked at the Gardner mirage as an option, also if anyone has any recommendations would be nice to hear them Cheers Elmo
  7. I am quite lucky where I am, I do have a lot of options, will keep me busy for a long time yet
  8. That makes sense I guess I never really fish that far to properly test an alarm maybe one day πŸ˜‚
  9. It is a nice place, I saw a pic of the Ivo lin on Instagram the other day, I wouldn't mind having another go for that, but I also quite fancy some of the other lakes now also, I could see me trying again one day,
  10. I saw a set on ebay for Β£300 they were the olden days deluxe ones, 😎 I had mini micron mx and an mmx at the time, I sometimes wish I still did tbh πŸ™„
  11. I'm going to make up a hypothetical situation now lol, Supposing you were fishing with very slack lines where a drop back was virtually unnoticeable on a roller as the bobbin was nearly on the floor, would the vibration sensor still pick up something where the roller probably wouldn't? The ecu's do look nice but they are pretty expensive if they aren't going to do much my Soniks won't, my Soniks are quite sensitive, which is why I like them, Are they what fox call d tech sensing or something? The mini micron x has that is that more sensitive than a normal roller?
  12. I think I might also wait unless things change, I don't think there is going to be much going on before April I just went over the bridge at St Ives looks very flooded at the moment,
  13. My Soniks work but they aren't very tarty πŸ˜‚ I keep looking at other alarms but never quite decide so stick with them, I would like to know if the Edwards custom upgrade alarms are any good, I also think I would like a set of nevilles but know deep down they probably arent even as good as my Soniks but they look pretty πŸ˜‚
  14. Are the delks a lot more sensitive than a normal roller would you say?
  15. Did you see the last one reservoir diaries 3 I think that looked nice
  16. I can't help you myself too much but aren't Carl and Alex from down that way, they have fished quite a few waters that may give you an idea, there was one they did called the reservoir diaries, that place looked pretty cool
  17. I'm not quite sure exactly how vibration sensing works, I understand a roller gets moved by the line being pulled which creates the signal on the roller magnet but I've never had a vibration set does that just work on feedback from the tension in the line or something? They are blooming expensive though, I knew they would be pricey but wasn't expecting that,
  18. This is for the QI range The most expensive alarms I've ever seen, they do look smart though but way out of my price range at Β£225 per head +Β£240 for the receiver, wouldn't mind seeing the features and price of the Q range also being released, but it's a strong move pricing above fox and delks top of the range, they do look the bailicks though πŸ˜‰ These just popped up on the next video afterwards, these look pretty good at a reasonable price and have some decent features Β£230 for a set of 3 with receiver
  19. New batches in April, that will have a 10-12 month shelf life on them if that helps πŸ‘ If I need some before though I think I can use them before September(subject to an ease in restrictions by the bafoon in the chair) 😒
  20. I emailed the company last night, this batch have a shelf life til July /September, he said they shouldn't really go off but they may lose some of the vitamins, I would probably use them by then if we were allowed out play 😒
  21. Ive listened to a few things where FW talks about Redesmere and his use of singles, he always makes a lot of sense, from what I can remember he started doing this so he could get to the fish by casting further than everybody else but couldn't bait up that far, but he is always great to listen to, and he makes you think, he always seems to be able to think one step ahead, great man I haven't got my head round zigs either yet πŸ˜‚
  22. I think it's probably worth waiting until we are allowed out again, also I should think once the weather warms up these will sell quicker giving you a longer life hopefully might be worth asking though? , I only found that out the other day lol I was reading something and I found out Pellets had a shelf life, I didn't even realise I've still got half a binful of carp Pellets they might be floaters by now πŸ˜‚
  23. I think I am always happiest fishing over bait, I haven't got any confidence in singles, I can just about handle casting a solid bag out on its own, I just think how will they find a single bait in all this water , I think even if I was putting it right in front of there nose I would want to add a few freebies if I could, but i know it works for a lot of people I think one of the reasons I am presently obsessing about a bushwhacker is that it will allow me to fine tune how much I should put out for a bite and also it won't hurt with accuracy and in theory with a scoop size of 900g i shouldn't be able to massively overdo it in one hit πŸ˜‚
  24. I liked the look of the best ones too, and with a name like that got to be a winner 😁
  25. All shipping included in the price πŸ‘€value seems very decent
