Yes I have , I had no problems with them .
-
Exactly right , I sleep in Hoddy ,Tshirt ,joggers and socks just for that reason , so no way do I want a super warm Bag or System.

First thought would be to contact Fox themselves

LOL , I think Ginger991 is 31 and a stab in the dark here , Nicks 48. As regards to being checked whilst Carp fishing I think the last time was probably in the 90s , but have been checked several times during matches on match/pleasure commercial fisheries . The higher the volume of people on a venue regularly ,the more chance of being checked.

They make me happy

good head torch ??? any ideas
dayvid replied to carpyian's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
I stand to be corrected , but I doubt the range on the Sensor will be much more than a few inches ,ok for your hand to activate , but not some one 10 feet away. -
This would seem to be you best option , if you dont want to get caught tt

I have and shall continue to lift fish from the water in my net , just because hes a known angler doesnt make his statement right , just his way of doing it .

You can buy top end Beds at a fraction of the new price if you look around online ,in mint condition most of the time . EG , recently bought a Mint and I mean Mint Nash SS3 Wideboy for £150 , all I have done is had the quilts and mattress washed.
-
I have read that Nash are bringing out a new Hide , as apparently the old one was to low to sit in comfortably, plus it will have rear vents.

I can only recommend the Tracker Big Snooze coupled with the Tracker Thermal cover for when its really cold .
-
I wont bait up over what I have baited ,unless I have caught or atleast 24 hours have passed, works for me

good head torch ??? any ideas

Personally I like the LED Lenser H7R , The beauty with this is that it has a sliding power control as opposed to most that have 2 or 3 brightness settings. -
I would just leave them in , and dont turn the batteries round it messes with the electrics so I have been told. I use Duracell as I have faith in them ,but thats not to say other brands are not equally as good. I have a hummingbird Smartcast bought around 2005 with Duracell's in and they have only been changed once , although it only gets used twice a year maybe

dayvid replied to Marcus's topic in UK Carp Fishing
If its their first time out , make sure it a runs water , otherwise it will become very boring and probably not want to go again. -

Not sure which bivvy you are looking at , the Blackout bivvy @£229 seems their most expensive but doesnt come with a second skin , but it is supposed to be 20,000 HH which is very good One of the 2 reviews is very bad the other is good. make of that what you will. For the same money and extra skin their is https://www.carp-zone.co.uk/carpzone-hurricane-a-s-all-season-one-man-bivvy-with-overwrap-included.html Although out of stock at the moment and I believe 5000 HH, I have seen on the bank and it looks fine , the guy who owned it was pleased with it.

Flavour of the Week - Bobbins/Swingers/Indicators
dayvid replied to yonny's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Strange you mention Mk1 swingers , I have these and am going to go back to using them , I have Delkim Duo carb arms and Nitelites which are fine no complaints , I just fancy a change -
I tend to consider our Winters as an extended Autumn , so nothing really changes . maybe less bait , but my decisions to alter things are made at the time and venue.
-
Great bivvy , I have the Nash Viper TT , Theirs a guy on the net called ,,Army Andy who will repair all the seems and by all accounts is very good ,reliable . Youll have to search his name or search other forums for his details.

If you have plenty of time use a marker ,if time is limited use a sonar, in dont hold faith in the fish finding ability's but for depth excellent , you will still need a marker though after to tell you what the make up of the bottom is . Just another tool to help you fish better.
