  1. Had Delkims for more years than I can remember but decided I wanted a change , just for a changes sake and bought the new Fox RX + , love the alarms but comparing battery life to Delkims is light years apart . Delkims Batteries would last a couple of years at least, to be honest I dont know how long they last , and I fish most weekends , Fox at best 6 months , which reminds me I have to change them now AGAIN.
  2. Ahh the Pillow , forgot that on more than one occasion over he years.
  3. They are even in the Real Tree pattern , so even during the day no one can see me wearing them 🤣😂
  4. Where the plastic fails, is in it ability to remain straight at distance , which Carbon does with ease .
  5. Totally agree they are and have used poles in the past , but at £550 ,really , just thinking about the baiting pole thread , to make something almost identical to this is for most so so easy and at fraction of the cost.
  6. I like Fox gear a lot of mine is made by Fox and each to their own how they spend their money , £599 for this , has to be the biggest rip off yet https://www.foxint.com/home/product/halo-illuminated-marker-pole-4-pole-kit-including-remote?c=new-products
  7. Many on my syndicate have tried all manor of different things with varying degrees of success , but in the end they buy a purpose made carbon pole .
  8. So many factors but I suspect bad luck , also if you fish a venue were a few fish have mouth damage you will lose a few no matter what rig you use . I prefer 15 mm baits or their abouts ,i only go bigger if nuisance fish become a problem.
  9. LOL ,the cheap ones are cheap but functional ,thin on the sole though , the genuine Crocs are far superior and much more comfortable . I m Mostly wear them at night , Mostly ………...
  10. Cant help thinking your advertising this venue , not just here but other forums as well .
  11. My Bad , £10;50 for the Khaki ones ,Not Realtree , still good value though for genuine Crocs.
  12. Real Tree Crocs on Amazon £10;50 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crocs-Unisex-Classic-Realtree-Clogs/dp/B00U6PDJKW/ref=sr_1_34?keywords=crocs&qid=1566493561&s=gateway&sr=8-34&th=1
  13. White Acres , not sure how far from Newquay it is though .
  14. Their is no difference from run or drop back and the latching time should remain the same whether single bleep or run.
  15. It all has its place , its just how you use it , What the deeper is good especially good for is dispelling laid down in stone ,facts about the lake bed like , Old river beds , Sunken holes , gullies you get the picture , only to find none of it exists . I dont have the heart to tell someone what its really like down their.
  16. Not really, it gives you an idea from the echo return, I havnt used it enough yet , but once you know what you are looking be it depth/drop offs ect then use the marker .
  17. Have no idea about the washers inside , but mine are as smooth as when I bought them , getting on for just over 2 years now , and I fish most weekends. The QD does take abut 5 minutes to get use too, 😁 wouldnt be without it now Bit biased I know as I have always like Daiwa reels
  18. Im all for anything that will help , Deeper for instance , save hours of needless maker float work.
  19. It may as well be😀 , I was the only one their this weekend .
  20. Dont know about the Penns but would assume they are a good reel , I have Daiwa Windcasts excellent reels , and would seriously consider the 19 Emblem 45s.
  21. Well indoors now , just missed the rain packing up , Two on Particle , Maple Maize and Fake Corn on top . 3 on Pop ups , Heres my typical pop up rig , Helicopter with Leadcore . Shimano Tribal 3;25 ,Daiwa Windcast with 18lbs Wychwood DPM Mainline Popups .
